The bolt at the centre of the drum is flogged out so is probably worn out on one side, need the hole repaired eg. welded up and redrilled or replace the drum.

I moved my Wtw4800 up and down some stairs and now the drum is not vertical anymore and there is a long rod with a spring on one end inside the drum. How do I fix this?

I don't know this machine but it looks like you have just 'unhooked' a stabiliser spring. which steadies the drum when it spins.
It will go at one end connected to a frame or outer body of the machine and the other end will connect somehow to the big drum.
Just have a good look for the hooking / retaing points.
Can't help further than that sorry.

How can I repair my washing machine ? Evacuation system is not working anymore ?

If the motor is running the pump is either clogged or bad. Remove the hoses going to and from the pump and inspect them and the pump intake/impeller for any obstructions. If clean the pump could be bad or the drive belt could be brokeen.

My whirlpool duet (Model # WFW8400TW02 )washer stopped working. the steel drum is not rotating and clothes are not getting washed. please let me know what could be the problem.. --Ritu

If this has a belt, then the belt may be broken or stretched out. Bad drum bearings can seize up and won't let the drum rotate anymore. A bad door switch can cause the machine not to run.

Lg washing machine drum light stays on and wont let me turn the

Solution. Unplug the machine. Hold the power button for 10 seconds. Plug back in. Push the power button and the washer should turn on. Walk away leaving the machine on. When I did this, I came back to find the drum light off and machine would start on command now. Good luck.

Washer Drum Off Center

To my knowledge most washers have transfer bolts or retainers that keeps the position of the drum firm while in storage or in transit. there would be 3 or four of them. Please verify that all the transfer bolts were removed.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Zanussi washing machine drum will not go round at all

i had a similar problem with a zanussi machine
a cheap bracelet got washed with some clothes and it found its way into the drum housing jamming the drum.

it may have been cheap to fix, but i just got rid of it cos it was 4 years old anyway

i now have a zanussi ZWF1231W just past its 1 wear warranty that has just died completely except for an "on indicator light"
the store inform me that i will have to pay the zanussi engineer a Euro 90 call out charge, plus labour costs, plus parts if needed.

im a little bit disappointed with zanussi to say the least

Kenmore Elite HE4T Washing Machine Diagnostic Test Didn't complete and clothes aren't spun as dry as in the past I have a Kenmore Elite HE4T washing machine and I noticed that recently it isn't getting all of the clothes completely dry from the final spin cycle. Thus, the dryer has to run through two cycles to get the clothes dry. I did a bunch of research and made sure there weren't any kinks or blockages in the drain lines; and opened up the bottom of the washer and cleaned out the drain cleanout. I found a few pennies, but everything seemed to be working ok. I ran a load and had the bottom open so that I could make sure the motor, drain and belt were all working properly. The drain does get the water out of the washer, so the clothes aren't sitting in water, they just don't seem to be spun as fast or as long as they used to. I always put it on the "extra high" spin setting no matter which type of load I run. So, I found a way to run the diagnostic test on the washer and it went through C0-C5 (the agitation step) and all worked great, until it wouldn't come out of C5 after at least 10 minutes and go thru C6-C8. I had to cancel the diagnostic test and hit the "drain and spin" button to get all of the water back out of the washer. BTW, the "drain and spin" seems to get the clothes a bit drier than when I have it run through the "normal" cycle with the "extra high" spin. If anyone has any other thoughts, I would really appreciate it. This unit is in a small space with the dryer attached so to take it out and do repairs is a pretty big hassle. It has had a new control board and two new fill valves in the 10+ years that I have owned it. Questions I have: 1.should I remove the entire drain pump to make sure there isn't anything lodged in it? 2. could it be the belt slipping slightly and keeping the spin from reaching its 1200 RPMs? 3. Anything else I may be missing???
