Question about Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Smartphone
There seem to be a problem with the phone that is why it does not pick the network automatically and also that is why it goes off and on all the time.
The problem might be a software problem or a hard ware problem. If it is a software problem, it probably might have contacted virus from another device, either via bluetooth or other file transfer means and the solution to that is for you to flash the phone with the appropriate software.
If it is a hardware problem, then it means the phone might have fallen or hit a hard object and you need to assess the main panel of the phone to solve this problem.
(1)Clean the surface of the sim card. (2) Clean the sim card reader surface. (3) Make sure the antenna makes proper contact with the PCB. (4) Heat the entire PCB with rework station to resolder the ics (5) Flash the cell phone .Note that if there is no network at all when power is switched on,the problem is likely from the antenna switch.
Good luck and take care
NOTE: If you are not familiar with such technical activities, i will strongly advice you seek technical assistance from a professional.
