You need to reset the time after a power outage.  Press the Day/Check, Hour, and Minute buttons until the correct time is heard-- Press Day/Check until you hear the correct day announced. Then do the same with Hour, and then Minute.

You may try to call your number. I have two vTechs, and they do the same after a power failure.

My att digital keeps flashing "CL" what does it mean and how do I stop it?

Problem Why is CL ( or C ) flashing in the base message window?
Solution(s) This indicates that you need to set the time and day on your answering system. During initial setup and any time there is a loss of power to the base, you will see this flashing indicator. Consult your User's Manual for instructions on setting the day and time. Manuals for most models can found on this site. Go to our MANUALS section, then search for your particular model.

I have a Ge 25942EE4-C phone and the Cl is flashing I have looked the phone over for a button to set this can you please assist me?

We had this same problem and seeing that the Manual is incorrect, I searched GE website manuals to find a different one that at least looked like the right model and found out how to clear the CL message code. This is just a time/day setting and it is to be done by the handset, not the base unit, With the handset, press the flash key, then press #8. You should now see the time flashing in the display. Adjust the time then press the pound key. Now the day is flashing in the display. adjust the day with the up arrow, then press the pound key to finish. Your base unit will announce the time and day is set and the CL is gone.... good luck

Reset after power outage

You just need to reset the time to fix this problem. There were three buttons on the back of the base for the day, hour, and minutes. I didn't know they were there!

IN 120 base keeps flashing CL

This is due to the base unit losing power and needs the clock resetting.
The handsets retain their clocks under battery power so this is a little misleading.

To reset the base unit clock:
- press the OK key
- press the 'down' arrow twice until "DATE/TIME" is displayed.
- press the OK key again, this will display the year. Enter the correct year on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. (Only the last two digits of the year need to be entered).
- The date is then displayed in MM/YY format, enter the correct date on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK.
- The time is then displayed, enter rhe correct time on the handset numeric keypad and press OK.
- The handset then beeps and displays "SAVED".
- Press the "C" button and replace the handset on the base unit.

The base unit should now stop flashing "CL".
