SOURCE: Canon Pixma MP610 not connecting to scan

Had the same problem. Don't think it scans wireless; worked fine when I connected with USB cable.

SOURCE: Canon Pixma ip3600 message saying printer is not online

This could be a problem with the port. If you have the printer attached to a USB hub, directly connect to the computer. Try connecting to a different USB port and test the current port with a known working device. Consider trying a new USB cable (minor damage could be a factor in signal loss).

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a Canon PIXMA iP100 printer. I refilled

Nope. The ink levels cannot be reset on refills for this type of cartridge. As long as your printer still prints you should be good. If it doesn't print you either need to go get another refill or a Canon brand cartridge.

Need an operating manual and a start-up disc for a Pixma iP100.

    Hello,

    Go to this page:

    Canon iP100 Support

If the Drivers & Downloads tab is not selected, click on it.

Under the Guides and Manuals you can download the Quick Start or Easy Setup guides. When you click on the link it will open (as long as you have Acrobat Reader) and then you can save them to your computer for future use.

On that same page, if you select your operating system from the drop down menu near the top, you will get a list of available software.

You will need the software under Drivers. It ends in exe. Click on the file name. You will then have to accept the EULA. When you do you will get another download window. The best thing to do is to select Save and direct it to your desktop. When the download is complete, close the window.

    To install the software:

Make sure the printer has ink and paper. Turn the printer OFF and disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

Run (double-click) the file on your desktop that you downloaded. This will begin the install. When prompted, connect the USB cable to the computer and turn the printer ON. This will continue the software install.

NOTE: Should you get any "Found New Hardware" windows, simply Cancel them out.

That should get you going. Refer to the Easy Setup guide mentioned above for additional info.

    Thanks for using Fixya.

Error 42 means scanner error. Just unplug the scanner cable and re-plug it. If thats just a connection problem then it should be back to normal. Otherwise there is a problem with the scanner itself(usually the scanner's motherboard is faulty)and you will have to send it for repairs.
