I have a Salton hot tray, an H-140 "Epicure" series E model. Its cord is missing. Any ideas?

That was good advice. I called and not long ago Prime Wire and Cable had a hot tray cord, but it is now out of stock. Any other ideas?

You need an HPN small appliance cord with 5/16" spacing. Prime Wire are not the only suppliers. You may also try here although there are too many to mention. Google "HPN small appliance cord 5/16" to find the closest/best supplier.

Hello,

What this indicate is that the oven has develop a problem from the element which is the problem of the oven it over heat over 100'or %

what you will have to do to fix this problem is to carefully unscrews the oven from the screws then trace the wire down to the element it is silver in color remove it then get your oven a better element and replace

The wires to the element shorted out by not being connected and to close to the metal cavity. This should have tripped your circuit breaker. Before resetting reconnect the old element or put in the new one then turn on power. If nothing illuminates you will need to replace the main control. This is easy to replace but not inexpensive. You can get diagrams and illustrations at All parts come with installation instructions.

www.applianceheplonline.com

you can order the element from the below address if you can not get the element in the store around your local area.

the address offer great service with competitive pricing among others , so shop and compare.

Replacing an element is not a difficult repair and can be accomplished by the average do-it-yourself offer. If you decide to order for the part and wish to repair this on your own
.

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

    hello,

I thought your statement means something different from what the comment is, sorry you can get the replacement of the cord wire from the manufacturer if there office is closer to you or visit any of the store that deal with distribution/sales of oven willing your local area.or get it online from the address giving to you before now.

Please note, you will have to place the model or the serial number of the oven to get the compatible cord for the oven.

    thanks once again.

I need a replacement cord for a H-134, Series J hot plate, where do I find one

You are in luck because most small appliance cords are pretty generic. You can go on line, do a web search " replacement power. cords small appliances". Also you can go to a local 'old fashion' hardware store. They will probably have it.

I have a Salton micorwave oven (MW-2027P). The timer works but the cook setting will not start. There is also no light on the inside when I open the door.

I had this exact same problem with my salton microwave! Even tried taking it back to the store, but with no reciept there was little they could do. Anyways try jiggling the clasps on the side of the the door, the ones that connect it to the microwave. Mind you don't jiggle too hard. Now firmly close the door, you should hear a distinct click. Now try it! The light only works when the microwave is on. The microwave won't work unless the door is closed properly and my problem was the claps were stuck! I hope this helps.

I have a Salton Hotray food warmer, Model H-132, Series J, 475 watts, that needs a replacement power cord. Any ideas where I can get one?

Try to find an old TV "cheater cord" from that era. It works perfectly AFTER you shave down the plastic "ears" on either side of the prongs.
