There are two milk amount markings in the Aeroccino - one (less) for use with the wire whisk attached, and one (more) for use when the wire whisk is detached. I had the same problem when I first used the Aeroccino, but with the correct amount of milk you shouldn't have the problem.
I hope this helps, Carole.

THEY SAY MILK MATTERS. SKIM OR LOW FAT BEST. ALSO MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAN, WHEN YOU ARE CLEANING IT, REMOVE THE FROTHER, TO BE SURE MILK DOES NOT STUCK IM COIL, WHICH CAN MAKE THE FROTHER, NOT MOVE AS QUICKLY AROUND.
Sorry, but it looks as though you have the classic Aeroccino-problem. Nespresso states that leaving the Aeroccino on its base while it is plugged-in to the wall, will cause it to short-circuit (because there is no off-switch on the base, it is continually feeding full power to the frother), and the result is that it makes only warm milk. Replacement is the only solution...I hope you are still under warranty.
