Are you saying The scanner worked with negative with XP but not with Vista? Uf so this is a drver problem Two thing to try- 1, Go to Programs/Accessories/system Tools Compatability Wizard and rest to XP then try. Or 2 Google for suitable Vista Driver
chances are you had a previous hp printer installed on the computer. image zone is an older version of software for hp printers. look for photosmart essentials for editing photos
