Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF60XBR800 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

My Sony Grand WEGA 60 inch rear projection television screen goes black. The power light stays green. The picture comes back. It repeats this cycle over and over. What could be the problem? The lamp was replaced 1 year ago. The TV never completely powers off. All fans are running and clean.

Pictures goes black while power light blinks green

I have a 40 but i was having the same problem. It turned out to be my lamp. I got a brand new lamp from Projector Lamp Services (relampit.com) and my tv works fine now. Im pretty sure that the 40 and the 60 take the same lamp. You might want to give them a call.

TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
