Remote not working

more info required.. do the lights come on at all, if so - synch the wiimote with the wii console while on the WARNING screen(press the red button on the wiimote & the red button near the SD card slot on the console.
If no lights come on the wiimote - you either need new batteries or you may have damaged the wiimote by dropping liquid on it or somethiing similar...sometimes cleaning the wiimote PC board with alcohol swaps may fix that, but it is not a task for a novice (you sound like a novice, so I advise against it).. Opening the wiimote and putting it back together again is not easy for a novice to get right without proper instruction.. My advice - search for videos of how to achieve this.
If none of the above work - you probably only have 2 options left..
1. send it for repair (costs almost the same as the price of a new wiimote)
2. buy a new wiimote
~Good luck

Wii remotes no long respond (one or more remotes) - sync lost

Lately after firmware updates or power loss the Wii will un-pair from the Wiimotes. Some players don't know how to solve this problem. They assume it is the Wii or the batteries in the Wiimote but when they switch them or power off the unit, this doesn't fix it. Reason is that the Wiimotes need to be re-paired (re-synced). This Tip will explain how to do this.

1) In the front of the Wii there is a door. Inside this door you will find the SD card slot. next to the SD card slot there is a RED button with the word "Sync" on it. This is used to put the Wii in bluetooth discovery mode.

2) Take the first remote and remove the battery cover. Below the batteries is a small Red dot button. This is the Wiimote's connection button. First turn on the Wii then press and hold the Wii's Sync button for a few seconds to initiate Discovery Mode. Press and hold the Wiimote's button for a few seconds until the "Player Number" lights on the bottom of the front of the remote blink. The connection is complete when the Wiimote's "Player 1" light goes solid and the Wii will advance to the menu.

3) To re-sync (re-pair) the additional Wiimote's. Repeat the process but this time leave the Wii turned on. With each remote the next player light should turn on. Do this until each remote is synced.

Wii remote four lights solid

Sounds like it needs to be re synced with the system, Easy place batteries in Wiimote and turn on console press the red sync button in the back of the Wiimote and press the red sync button on the console it is now synced. If this fails it could be that the Wiimote has failed, if Wiimote had failed within warranty period of 90days from date of purchase return for repair or replacement if it is after warranty period discard and replace with a new Wiimote.

Wii console is not responding

Hi,

If there is no LED on, then the most likely reason is, that your wii isn't getting power. So the problem, is with the plugs, and the power adapter. If you have a friend who has a wii, try testing his power adapter on your wii. Make sure your cords are completely plugged in, on both sides, (the outlet and the wii) then press the power button on the wii. If that do-sent work, try turning it on with one of your wiimotes. If that dosent work, that means your wiimote is not synchronized with your wii. To sync. it, open the sd card cover on the front of the wii, press the red button above the sd card slot. Then open the bottom of your wiimote, (where the batteries are) and press the small red button that should be beside the batteries. Then hold the wiimote close to the wii, then after its done flashing, press the power button on the wiimote and also, try plugging your power cord into another outlet. If it still won't work, you've got a broken wii, so you better send it to get replaced or fixed, again as suggested. DON'T OPEN IT! You could loose your warranty if you open it, so it's safest not to. Hope you get it to work

Thank you !!

It starts running in the middle of the night. Also, does not rceognize the remote control now.

Does the blue light just turn on where the disk goes in? That just means it's connected to the internet.
For the WiiMote, open the little door under the power button on the Wii and press the red button. Then take the cap off the wiimote, the on covering the battery and press that red button too :)

Wii Remote doesn't work

1. Make sure that your batteries are in correctly. See working Wiimote for reference.

2. When you sync the Wiimote, press the red button in the battery compartment and immediately there after, press red sync button in the Wii Console front panel (where the SD card goes between the Eject and Reset buttons).

3. Power off Wii console completely and restart.

4. Press any button on the Wiimote to activate.

5. If the above steps don't work, you may want to return it to the store for a replacement.

Good luck!

Wii Remote A/ B problem

I know this sounds silly, but be sure that you have fresh batteries in each Wiimote and that you have them in the right way.

Whenever you start up your Wii, the first Wiimote that you press a button on becomes controller number 1 and then subsequent Wiimotes are added in the order a button is pushed on them. SO, if you are thinking that you have remote 1 because that was the one that was remote 1 last night, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is so. Be sure that whenever you activate a Wiimote, the lights flash - 4 lights flashing mean strong battery, 1 light flashing means replace; when flashing stops, the number LED that is lit from the left denotes which remote you have. Make sure that is the same Wiimote that you select a game with, and make sure that is the one you press A&B together with to start the game.

If it doesn't work, shut everything down and start up using the other Wiimote. If that DOES work, then it could mean that your other Wiimote is not syncronized with the console. See the directions in your Wii manual on syncronizing additional Wiimotes (they're called Wii Remote by Nintendo) to your console.

Good luck. If all the above fails, you may want to go to www.nintendo.com and request customer service.

Wii remotes have stpped sending signals.

When you first press a button on the Wiimote, how many lights blink? If the answer is 1, then your batteries may be too low. 4 blinking lights mean that you have fully charged batteries.

Other than that, you may want to consult the user manual with regards to re-syncronizing your Wiimote to the console. If you don't have the manual any more, and you have at least two blinky lights, then press the red syncronizing button on the console first, then the corresponding button inside the battery cover on your Wiimote. Reboot the Wii and see if it works.

Good luck!

Can't sync wii remotes to console

When you sync the wii motes you have to do it in proper order!!!

There are 2 ways to sync one is minor out of sync stuff. You push red button on the wii briefly then quickly press the red button on the wiimote.

Second one is what you need to do. First remove any disk then hold in the power button until the light turns red. (not yellow or orange). Release it then unplug the Wii. Do not remove the batteries but if they are low replace them before you turn it back on. Wait at least 2 minutes.
Have the backs off the Wiimotes.
Plug the Wii in.
Turn the power on.
As the Health and Safety screen appears push in the red button on the Wii.
Hold it there a min. of 15 seconds. 25-30 is better.
When you release it right away push the red button on the first Wii mote. It flashes all the lights.
Immediately press then release the red button on the Wiimote while lights are flashing. When they stop flashing it will be synched.
a.Then press the button on the Wii again (this time only hold for 2-3 seconds) then press the red button on the second wiimote and while lights flash press the button on the Wii again.
Repeat a. for any other wiimotes.

Remotes

When the lights are blinking like that, it's indicating the battery level, and also indicates that the wiimote is not connected to the wii. Replace the batteries in the one with the left light blinking and see what happens. Try turning off the wii, and pressing the power button on one of the wiimotes. It should turn on the wii and then the far left light will turn solid. Then press a button on the second wiimote and it should connect. If it doesn't, press home on the first wiimote, go to the settings at the bottom, and click Reconnect. Then follow the onscreen instructions and the problem should be solved.
