Wireless Car Issues

My wifi adapter looks to be enabled, but I can't pick up my wireless signal. I've checked the properties for the adapter and it seems to be functioning. Not sure what the problem is.

Any help would be awesome.

I cannot enable my wireless adapter.

go to start, control panel, network and internet, then double click your network adaptor (your wifi router) click properties, write down your I.P address given to you on screen. then open internet explorer, and type that I.P address into the search bar and press enter. you should now have access to the main router settings. it could be your routers wifi setting is turned off. just go through the menu and look for it, the menu depends on the router so i cant say which menu to go to, but its normally under advanced tab. dont change anything else unless your sure you know what your doing!!

Try this solution. 1. Go to your device manager, try to disable your wireless network adapter for awhile and enable it again. 2. Then go to wireless gaijinproxy.gif signal and click Troubleshoot problems.Apply fixed if ask. 3.if failed go to your wireless status then click and diagnose.

gaijinproxy.png 4. If still failed go to your network properties and tried to enable automatic obtain an ip address. 5. Try to reinstal drivers of your wireless adapter. 6. If none of this work your chances are to reset your router try using a usb wireless adapter just to know if your wireless are low signal or not working anymore.

Cannot connect to wireless networks, where is

First of all check these are ok: Check your network adapter settings to see if you have your wireless card enabled. If that is ok, see if you can pick up any other wifi access points apart from your own. If you can see others fine, this means your wifi card is working correctly. If you can see your own access point and not connect to it, check the signal strength, items like microwaves and cordless phones can interfere with the signal. If you have a good signal try connecting. If it is asking for a key/password, then you will need to find the authentication key for your wireless access point.
If you cannot see your wifi access point but can see others, then you may have SSID broadcasting disabled, or the wifi might not be functioning correctly. Check these in your access point settings.

Hi,

The above mentioned scenario is not descriptive enough to assist. hence i am herewith mentioning some steps which could help you (with my assumption of what you have).

Please follow the mentioned step to check if the Wireless card is installed properly
Step 1 :
> click on start (assuming it to be a windows OS)
> right click on "my computer" and select "Properties"
> you will have the system Properties window pop-up
> under the Hardware tab, click on Device manager button
> under the device manager list look for network adapters
> you should now be able to see your wireless card under network adapter - check if the adapter is enabled ( if not kindly enable by right clicking on the adapter)
> once the adapter is active - it will have a green icon with not error on it.
Once you complete the above task you may follow the below mentioned step.
Following the below mentioned step will help the Microsoft to take control over the card and try to connect (instead of the software provided by the card manufacturer to control the device)

Low signal strength

Low signal strength could be an issue of the Wireless adapter. Check the property page of the Wifi card and in the Network tab check for the freequency ex: 802.11 b/g if the wifi supports the freequency to the max which is to be set.

Usually this issue happens when you have a wifi card or driver Installed.
