Frigidaire E57

Hello Daniel Huntley - Typically error code E59 indicates that that washer is not detecting a tacho signal for about three seconds. Contact a professional to move forward accurately. Certified technicia will need to remove the belt from the motor, spin the motor pulley, diagnose the speed control board and etc.

I have a NFW7200TW Amana Washer. The problem is my wife said she saw a E3 error and then a nd error. I fixed the pump for the nd error but I don't know what the E3 error is. When I tried to run th

E3 Error: Machine control is attempting to drive the motor but is not seeing any tach response. Visual check shows motor is not moving. (Locked, Hall Sensor fault). Replace the hall sensor.
The "hall" sensor is an internal circuit of the motor. It "tells" the machine control board, what the motor is doing, it's similar to a tachometer on the dashboard of a car. In your case, you want to do the resistance checks on the wires of the CN9 and CN8 connectors at the main control board in the front of the washer (it's easier and more indicative). Unplug the CN9 connector from the control board(red, white and blue wires) testing the pins inside the wire harness connector: from pin#1 /blue to pin#2 /white you should read 3 ohms resistance from pin#1 blue to pin#3/red, you should read 3 ohms resistance. from pin#2/white to pin#3/red, you should read 3 ohms resaistance. That will tell us the motor windings are damaged or not. At the CN8 connector, unplug the connector from the control board and insert the meter probes into the end of the wire harness connector; pin#4/orange to all other pins in the connector should have infinite resistance. pin#3/blue to pin#1/pink should have 4.7 ohms resistance. If you have these resistances, the motor and wiring are OK and you'll need the control board. If the resistances are not within 10% of the ones listed, you'll need to check the wiring harnesses and connections from the control board to the motor, and replace the motor if all checks OK.
Here is a link to the motor.

I have a duet front loader whirlepool washer that will not spin or wash. I can here that main control panel clicking telling the motor to work but the unit is not moving in the wash cycle or spin. i have...

first disconnect the motors power plug from the motor controller, the motor windings can then be tested by using a multi-meter set to RX1 or the lowest setting on the meter used in the testing for resistance, then touch any 2 of the 3 motor leads as in leads 1-2/1-3/2-3 and you should read between 8.6 and 11.7 ohms on any lead combination,if higher the winding on that phase is open,or if lower its shorted

I'm getting a F 51 code during the washing cycle and does not clear.

Hi

F51 error is a rotor position sensor error. This is a hardware error either due to a faulty rotor position sensor or due to a faulty control board. Motor is located directly underneath the tub. The RPS board is mounted on the right side (follow the brown wires) and under the motors rotor disk. An Allen wrench is used to remove the rotor and then the four bolts holding the motor stator to the tub can be removed. You would need to check the motor by running Motor test. Please follow the steps from the service manual given below---

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check to see if basket will turn freely.
3. If basket turns freely, go to step 4. If basket does not turn freely, determine what is causing the mechanical
friction or lock up.
4. Remove the console to access the machine/ motor control assembly.
5. Visually check that the P5 and P10 connectors are inserted all the way into the machine/motor control. If visual checks pass, go to step 6.
If visual checks fail, reconnect P5 and P10 and repeat step 1.
6. With an ohmmeter, check for 16 ohms resistance at the P5 connector between pins P5-1 and P5-2, and also between pins P5-1 and P5-3. Also measure the resistance at the P10 connector between pins P10-1 and P10-7 and verify that the resistance is within the range.
If the resistance is correct, go to step 11. If the P5 connector resistance is much higher than 16 ohms, or the P10 connector resistance is out of range, go to next step.
7. Tilt machine forward to access the bottom of the machine and the drive motor area. See Figure 1 on page 6-13. Remove the motor bolt, then the motor cover to access the motor connections.
8. Visually check the mounting bracket and electrical connections to the motor and rotor position sensor board. If visual check passes, go to step 9.
If visual check fails, reconnect the electrical connections, reassemble stator and motor cover and repeat step 1.
9. With an ohmmeter, check for continuity between all pins on the P10 machine/motor control connector and the motor rotor position sensor (RPS) connector. See Figures 2 and 4, pages 6-13 and 6-16. If there is continuity, go to step 11. If there is no continuity, replace the lower machine harness.
10. With an ohmmeter, check for continuity between all pins on the P5 machine/motor control connector and the drive motor connector. If there is continuity, replace the drive motor. If there is no continuity, replace the lower machine harness.
11. The drive motor and lower harness are good. Replace the motor RPS board and perform the Diagnostics test in step 1 to verify repair.
12. If the Diagnostics motor test in step 1 failed, then the machine/motor control has failed: Unplug the washer or disconnect power. Replace the machine/motor control assembly. Perform the Motor Diagnostics in step 1 to verify repair.
Please post back if you need more details. Hope this helps...
Daniel

How do you fix an error E59?

depending on the ohms readings you may have to replace the motor or the speed control board board.disconnect the plug from the motor check the resistance on pins 1to 2 1 to 3 then pin 2-3 the should read between 4 to 6 ohmsi fthis is correct replace the speed control board if not replace the motor.check pins 4-5 if the resistance is not between 105 -130 ohms replace the motor

does the door lock? if the answer is no then you have a blown resister on your main control board R11 and the reason it blew is your wax motor on your door lock is binding up. you need a new control board and wax motor.

Take cover off. First check the fuse on the circuit board. If it's blown replace it. That should get the motor running, the motor might be or is going out. If the motor is bad you'll have to replace the motor. If the fuse is good and the motor is good, unhook the wires on circuit board that go to the humidity control switch. If the unit comes on with the humidity control switch unhooked, you'll have to replace the humidity control switch. Sears has them for about $11.50. Hope this helps.
