Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Rzrs-buttons not working.

I'm not exactly sure how to take off the front of the phone and stuff that it suggests.
banging it off my knee doesn't work, and codes don't work either.
it occasionally calls someone randomly and sometimes the volume adjusts without me touching it.

Any suggestions?

You need to replace the flexcable on the phone to have them fix it for you.

MADMMAURER18 - you will need to have the flexfile reflash on the phone.

HI , how can i format and reinstall software in sony ericsson T715 model?? I think it got some sort of virus and now most of its functions/buttons are not working... Repaired software with the PC suit...

Cellphones do not get viruses. I answer questions like this all the time.
The only thing that you can do to make a phone run faster and perform at peak performance is:
1. Do a complete master reset and put it back to factory specs 2. Clean out all the call history, texts, shorten your media collection if you have one ie; pics, amd music 3. Make sure your phone is up to date with the latest firmware,
Other than that. There are no viruses for cellphones. It's a myth people talk about but it doesn't happen. Sometimes over jammed folders like call logs, texts, and media mail can stop it from running fast. So it's always good to clean that stuff out. That's one of the main things that can make a phone run slowly.
Try all those, and if they don't work. Let me know and we'll go step by step and get you fixed.
Thank you

The end button doesn't work can still push it but it doesn't respond (the phone accidentally got wet the other day if that had someting to do with it)

It probably has something to do with getting wet. If you can manage to open your your phone then I suggest you open it up and wipe clean it with a dry cloth. Just be sure to return the parts back properly.

The music player of my Nokia 7210 Supernova isn't working because when I try to open it, it always say that "Not Enough Memory" even though I have so much of free space in memory card

Not Enough Memory error suggests that you dont have enough space to load the program into the Memory. Check Phone's Memory (It is about 30 MB total) if there is stuff in Phone's Memory then shift it over to Memory Card and cleanup the space in Phone's Memory.
It will definitely resolve this issue.
If even after wiping stuff from Phone's Memory doesn't work, reset the phone.

I have dropped my phone and now the touch screen doesn't work how do i reset my phone when the touch screen doesn;t work

if your phone's touch screen has not developed any cracks, it could have damaged the touch interface internally, i would suggest getting your phone checked at nearest Samsung authorized service centre

Display and keypad shuts off and will not come back on when closing and re-opening phone. Have to take battery out, replace then turn on to get a screen for a moment, then same problem after a few moments

wires may be loose...

however, serously, jokes asside. try banging it on your knee, not too hard, but hard enough. Seems to fix many problems with this phone. Good luck.

Touch pad keys don't work, except the one to turn phone off

Oh my gosh!!!! It worked!!! It really worked! I had my phone in the back pocket of my jeans when I went outside in a heavy rainstorm to get to my car. When I got to school (I'm a teacher) I realized my phone wouldn't work...except for the power button. None of the other buttons worked at all...AND...GULP....the water indicator sticker inside was red. I got my second graders busy, then looked on here for some help on what to do. I read the comment about how the person laughed, but banged the phone on her knee after reading about banging the phone....not thinking it would work...and it DID! I'm SO happy!!!! Thank you

Blank screen

Seriously, bang the phone sideways on a desk, it works! Do it on each side 2 or 3 times, then back again. Don't slam it down, but bang it a couple times I'm not kidding at all

Buttons don't work on RAZR v3

Problem with Moto Razr where nothing works and either one of the following happens:
- voice record thing keeps popping up
- volume keeps moving
- none of the keys work except power off?

Here’s what’s going on:
The phone has these three silver buttons on either side of the flip. They internally have soldered connections, and those connections are getting triggered either due to water, or due to lint accumulated in your phone (yes that’s what happens when you keep it without cover in your pocket and bags). The lint and muck gets moist with humidity (rainy weather etc) and causes the same. It’s something like a ghost sitting somewhere continues to click a button. Why the power off works is because that is the only button that overrides all others.

I had the same problem and was able to fix it. It’s nota fluke, because post that I have fixed 2 more phones with similar problem, which were lying dead-unused with friends because the service center was asking for more than the phones weight for fixing it.

What to do:
Don’t try this at home until left with no other option, because opening the phone yourself is.. Anyway here goes:
Use same opening procedure as slotdoctor did in his post:
First things first –
1 - Take out the battery.
2 – Allow phone to dry. At least the water that entered it from the rain, tub, pot, or your baby’s saliva. If you don’t have access to sun, place it overnight next to the fan exhaust of your laptop and leave the virus scan or disk defrag on (to keep the fan running what else)

Get cracking it:
On the LCD side, you need to take the top apart. Take the 4 front tiny rubbers from the big LCD, one in each corner then you will need a special STAR screw driver, if you don’t have one, buy/beg/borrow/steal. Then you will need to use a blade of very thin flat screwdriver to insert in the thin area on the sides of the panel (where the silver buttons are located). I saw a YouTube demo of the same, don’t remember the link though, but you can find it. While you try and open it, think like opening an oyster if you have seen oneJ.

Clean it:
Once you succeed opening it, you will find that the three that is done, you will see that the back of your LCD, some connecting bus wires (and a lot of lint all over). Don’t touch anything. Use a clean soft makeup brush to get rid of all lint. While you do that, the silver buttons will fall off! That’s ok. Then you’ll find small electronic click buttons exposed where the silver buttons fell off from. Total 4 such buttons (the volume silver buttons has 2 electronic buttons underneath). Notice 4 soldered legs/terminals on each of these click buttons, and identify the terminal pair that has stuff between those terminals, most probably the one that was making the ghost clicks. Use a wooden toothpick to clean. No alcohol or water. Then blow away the scrapings (no spitting). You’ll be tempted to, but don’t go about poking the tooth-pick all over to try and clean every speck. And don’t even think about trying to clean all terminals. Just concentrate on the button that was giving ghost clicks.

Test!
Before you start re-assembling: test. Put back the battery, switch on, and hopefully the ghost clicks are gone.

Reassemble
If you remember what you took off, assemble back.

Retarded razor

I don't know why you can't answer your phone or why you banged it to get it to work but your inside screens connector may just have came loose as it sometimes happens with out you doing anything wrong. Just take it apart and check the wires on the solved problems I think there one that tells you how to do this.
