I would like to make my player region free

there is a way to make your player region free - do the following:

I have a new HT-E3500 and did the following:

I have a Region B/4, player

I used the R4 code from below.

1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.
2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner
3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
In this case Repeat 76884

It needs to be done without delay. (consequently)
So if you don't get it to work straight away don't loose heart.

4) When it works a 4 will appear in the top left corner

5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.

8) Power the unit off

9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.

From other threads I got the follow list of region codes.

R1 - 29334
R2 - 57538
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462

Samsung HT-E3500 region-free

I have a new HT-E3500, and after 20 minutes I got the following to work.

The trick seemed to be not holding the repeat key too long.

I have a Region B/4, running 080604.01_050708-1_XSA code.

Now it to me about 20 tries to get this to work, It needed to be done without delay.

R1 - 29334
R2 - 57538
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884

SA-PT460

Original fault tray would not stay closed, opened up 460 case and then removed 2 screws on rear of drive. unplug 2 ribbon cables.
unscrew 1 screw in micro switch pcb rotate and spay cleaner into switch and rock switch several times until the reading across switch is 0 ohms before you start you will find the switch has about 2.5 k of resistance across it witch is too high.
as long as you have about 4ohms it will work.

My JVC TH-G30 gives me a locked message when I try to open the load tray what should I do?

hello Setting the disc ejection lock
You can lock the disc tray to prevent the disc form
being ejected.
When the main unit is turned off, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds
If you attempt to open the disc tray by pressing
OPEN/CLOSE key, the disc tray does not open and
“LOCKED” appears in the display window.
To cancel the disc ejection lock, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds again when the
main unit is turned off.
“UNLOCKED” is displayed in the display window.
Note:
Before the main unit is turned off, DVD/CD function
should be selected.

My cd changer is say disc error and it wont close all the way in and there is no cd inside of because i took it out

If the door will not close or go to home posistion then one or two things has happened, 1. the Unit is out of timing squence and needs to be retimed, this happens when someone pulls on the door while it is opening just one gear tooth out of sequence will cause malfunctioning. 2. The elevator or clamper is not open so the tray can not slide between the spindle motor and the clamper assembly, this usually comes from either a bad or weak belt on the load assembly or worn gear on the elevator or clamper assembly. Open the unit and close the door to check function the disc, should slide between these parts to play, if the door is not closing then you will see why or what is not working or blocking the tray.

Stuck disc (similar problem)

In the front of the tray there a small whole, try bending a paperclip straight with a small hook at the end and careully stivk it in that whole. Than gently try pulling it back thus opening the tray. Remove your disc and do not put any other disc in it but try to close the tray by using the button. If it closes, try to reopen it.

Check your disc for any dirt or perhaps some remains of stickers.
Be carefull with homemade discs, they might have a stickered label on it which can cause problems such as getting your tray stuck and not opening anymore ;-) .

Dvd do not loads

Our started doing the same thing about a week after the warranty ran out. It has to do with the alignment of the discs being loaded. here's a work-around that works for us:
Open the tray
Choose which disc you are going to watch and use the Change Disc button to push the selected disc to the back (ie, if you want to view Disc 1, discs 3 and 4 will be visible in the tray).
Look down the center holes of discs 3 and 4... manually move your tray left-or-right to align the holes with the tray.
Push the Direct Play button on the top right of the unit for your disc of choice (Disc 1 using the example above).

hope that helps... I've searched for a while and played around with the unit (with and without the cover on) trying to figure out a way to re-align the tray, but no luck.

Disc tray

Something is causing the disc to get stuck inside the DVD player. Open it and inspect. If something is broken, take it to a repair center.
