According to the software release notices, it wasn't until version 7.0d that they made it Windows 7 compatible. You aren't saying what OS you are migrating from, but it may be that you are running too old a version of the program. You could try one of two other options.
Try running the program as an administrator. Right click on the program icon and select "run as administrator".
Try running in compatibility mode for the OS you were using it with previously, right click on the program icon and select the "properties item". Then click on the compatibility tab and use the pulldown to select the OS to simulate the program for.
If they both fail to work, you may have to upgrade to a newer version. Many older applications stopped playing nice starting with Windows 8. Many of them actually worked if you loaded VISTA drivers and/or compatibility, but not all. Most Windows 7 and later software has no issues with Win10.
This is because of software compatiblity of the old version Charanga Guitar coach v 2001. with your Vista OS. Try to install the program as "Administrator" and run the program in the "compatiblity mode". If you can't install the program you have to get a newer version which is ciompatible to Vista.
Hi. You'll be better off downloading and installing the tryout for Adobe Indesign than PageMaker. InDesign is the improved version of PageMaker and it can open your old PM7 files. With your current PC specs, you can definitely run that software.
Pagemaker 6.5 is designed to be used with Windows 95 / 98 / NT 4, therefore in order to run it in Vista I'd suggest to run your Pagemaker 6.5 using Compatinity Mode --> Go to your Desktop --> Right click on the program icon--> properties-->Compatibility--> select one of the versions above
Did everything above ,kept getting the same ol errors,i right clicked on the app, opened properties, and changed compatibilities to win xp. then, instead of opening the rebirth from program files,i went and opened a demo song from the rebirth folder, and hey presto the ***** opened, after that the program would open the usual way. yippeeeeeee........
I had the same problem of the console not being recognised and the software failing to install propperly. I run windows 7 professional 32 bit O/s and after many hours of the console not being recognised I came across a link at the fisher Price website. I downloaded the software as it describes and bingo...up and running.
