Put air on my D51844 it starts firing nail out i have not touch the trigger what is the problem danger

Dewalt uses a combination buna and vinyl orings. The vinyl orings in their nailers fail by turning into putty. To fix your problem replace the trigger valve or the vinyl orings within. You will meed three orings in the trigger valve, (buna 70) , two rings are 2mm and one is 6mm. Within the body of the gun there are 5 more vinyl orings that fail. The rebuild kit has some vinyl orings and will most likely fail also. Convert to buna for longer life. Good luck

My DeWalt D51845 - when you use the sequential trigger it shoots maybe every 4th time you pull the trigger. If you replace the sequential with the bump trigger ever 3rd one shoots 2 nails.

Check this notice and post your question again if you nailer is not part of this recall. Good luck.

My framing nail gun won't fire when trigger is squeezed air leaks out but won't fire

Time for oring kit # d518005 available at Dewalt service center or at www.toolpartsdirect.com.
May as well order the replacement trigger valve while there. These two items will renew your gun. Good luck

I have a Stanley Bostitch N80SB with the sequential trip kit. I have installed a new trigger valve assembly, and the unit now holds air pressure, but the trigger will not activate the plunger. I can...

The safety foot assembly pushes up on inner trigger lever which in turn pushes on the trigger valve. If the trigger valve firing pin is slightly shorter than the old trigger valve, or the inner lever is worn from use, the inner lever will not push the trigger pin all the way in. Examine the trigger and the roll pin that holds the trigger for wear and check that the safety is pushing up on the inner lever. If the trigger is worn replace or repair with metal type epoxy filling in worn spots and use a new roll pin.

Miss firing you have to place it on an angle to get it to shoot

Dewalt has a new trigger valve to replace the original (part number 5140095-73). Not sure if the new valve is replacement to address an issue or natural progression. I would also replace the orings that make contact with the reference #55 on parts list called the bulkhead. There are four orings contacting the bulkhead that wear and may contribute to multi-fire or miss. Finally, look for worn parts that contact the trigger. The safety foot pushes up on the inner part of trigger then pushes on the firing valve pin. If safety mech parts are worn or trigger is worn, the gun may miss. Parts are at dewalt service center or at www.toolpartsdirect.com Good luck

Bostitch N79WW Leaking air from the trigger. Can't figure out how to remove trigger assembly. I removed two pins, one at the trigger hinge and one lower pin for what appears to be for the valve assembly,...

See the link below for a parts breakdown of the gun. Usually this problem is a defective trigger assembly and requires that the trigger be replaced. You can also check the Orings. If there is an air leak this can also occur.

My dewalt framing nail gun was hooked to the air compressor, but was not being used when it began leaking air which you could hear and got louder. It sounded like it was leaking around the trigger area....

There are O-ring seals around the trigger that are probably leaking. You can try to lubricate the gun by adding the pneumatic oil to the air supply. That may be enough to seal it back up. Otherwise the seals and/or the trigger assembly will need to be replaced.

Press the trigger and all we get is a puff of air

could be driver stuck with jammed nail or the firing valve is stuck in the head. If this is a Dewalt tool go to Dewaltservicenet.com and type in your model number for a breakdown before removing the cap.

Air leaks arond trigger when depressed, but no nail fires.

Where does the air leak out from? If it leaks from the trigger DeWalt makes a trigger valve assembly part # 641006-00 list 8.89 BUT if it leaks from other areas we have to look into it deeper. If it is just the trigger valve let me know and I will give you instructions how to remove and install the new one.
