Ibought this monitor about 2 years ago. The problem I'm having is I turnit on it fires up and then shuts down. It won't stay running. HELP!!!

How long does it stay on before it shuts off? Some tvs have a auto feature to shut off if the screen is blank for long periods. This eco feature can be shut off somewhere in the menu settings.

I have minor shutdown problem with mail, won't close or shut down. My ans top left APPLE drop down, force closure, turn of each programme listed. For me works a treat.

it is possible that one of the three are going out on the computer, motherboard, harddrive, power supply, only a computer tech could tell which one.

The life span of most monitors is 3 to 5 years, it would be cheaper in the long run to replace it with a new one.

i am not a expert just trying to help you,, if crank and run for 10 to 15 minutes then shut off ,that sound like the magneto is getting hot (some call it a coil that makes the spark plug fire) it will crank and the same thing after a hour oor so of cooling down,,hope this help you

My sister's monitor wont turn on at all. She was shutting her system down due to a storm rolling in, and it said windows shutting down installing updates, while she is shutting it down. She turned it on today and the little light came on then it went off and hasn't been on since then. The Tower works fine but the monitor isnt turning on at all. What should she do? She has had the monitor at least 2 years no more then 2 1/2 years! And it is a LG Flatron 20". HELP

Same boat 1.5 years old and the screeen will shut down in about 1-3 seconds as long as i turn it on.

Try running the factory reset on it.

Do you mean the computer is sutting down but on the monitor showes different colors if so you might have a problem in the system you might have to reinstall you OS if the computer does shut down but the monitor stays on and flashes different colors you have to shut the monitor down manually with the power button on the monitor.
