Bad push to start switch or a thermal fuse blow due to overheating which probably means you have a venting issue which would have to be dealt with as well

Press the Dedicates and Eco action button at the same time. Here is an online resource for the manual, that is what is listed on page 20.

How do I turn on bell on my dryer

From the Whirlpool user manual:
(OPTIONAL) Your dryer may have an End Of Cycle Signal. The
signal is helpful when drying items that should be removed
from the dryer as soon as it stops.
?
On some models, the End of Cycle Signal is fixed.
?
On other models, the End of Cycle signal is part of the
Start button and is selectable. Turn the PUSH TO START
button to ON or OFF. The signal will sound only if the
selector is set to On.

I have a MDG5500AWW Maytag Dryer. Everything works fine but when it's sitting and off, no lights lit, it beeps 3 times every 10 minutes or so. Never timed it, could be less than 10 minutes. I usually...

Sounds like a prompt of some type...waiting for an input like to 'open the door' at end of cycle. Not sure myself but do believe the answere is in the customer service manual you received with the new machine. If you do not have one, go on line to get one.

How to shut off dryer end of cycle beep. Can u run

If the model number is correct, the dryer End of Cycle signal cannot be adjusted or turned off. The informatrion is listed on page 11 of the Owner's Manual:

http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/16695/WHIRLPOOL-Laundry-Centers-L0710382?brand_name_search=LTE5243D

The only way to turn the signal off, is to remove the operator console, locate the signal (buzzer) module and disconnect the wire(s). The buzzer is listed as item 32 under the "Washer/Dryer Control Panel" parts listing:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Whirlpool-Parts/Washer-dryer-combo-Parts/Model-YLTE5243DQ2/1198/0152000/W0702346/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

CAUTION: If you choose this option, make sure you UNPLUG the washer/dryer before servicing anything inside. If you disconnect any wires, make sure you cover them with heat shrink or electrical tape to keep them from coming into contact with anything else.

The washer and dryer use a common power source, but the rest of the functions operate independently of each other. You can safely run both units at the same time.

If need further assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Hi,

There can be many reasons why your dryer will not start or turn...

The most common causes are the belt breaking or jumping off, or the motor going bad...

Have a retangle showing as the dryer ends it dry cycle. Dryer will dry but the rectangle shows up about 1 minute before dryer ends it's cycle.

I have the same problem with my dryer. I noticed this rectangle that showed up on time dry and there wasn't any code that matched this in the manual. I called samsung and they told me to flip the breaker and see if that helps. I have not tried another load, but I hope that fixed it.

E-2 error code on whirlpool duet dryer

“E2” flashes if the thermistor has shorted.

The thermistor monitors the exhaust temperature
and cycles the high-limit thermostat on
and off to maintain the desired temperature.
1. Turn the dryer off but keep the electrical
supply connected.
2. Make sure that the dryer is empty and that
the lint screen is clean.
3. Close the dryer door.
4. Select Heavy Duty, Timed Dry, More Time
or Less Time, End of Cycle Signal (Louder)
and Start.
5. If error codes E1 or E2 flash on the display
after 1 minute and the dryer turns off,
the thermistor, or the wire harness, is either
shorted or open. Check the wire connections
at the thermistor or the machine
control electronics board. If wiring checks
okay, replace the thermistor.
6. If the dryer seems to operate normally, remove
the exhaust vent and start the dryer.
7. Select the desired temperature cycle to be
tested, and select 20 minutes of Timed Dry
heat using the More Time or Less Time
pushbuttons.
