Bad xbox 360 connection

You have two options to improve connectivity:

1) Move your XBox closer to the router. If you are connecting wirelessly, move your XBox as close as possible to your router. The farther away they are, the slower your connection speed.

2) Purchase an ethernet cable and plug it in. An ethernet cable can connect to your router and be plugged into the back of your XBox. This is the best way to utilize as much juice as possible from your router and get you the connection speeds you need to play online. Ethernet cables run about $20 depending on the length and quality, but its a great investment if you are doing a lot of online gaming.

Hope that helps!

My son has an xbox 360 lite and has currently got a problem with it in terms of it taking a long time to load games. could this be down to the lens sensor head needing cleaning

It could be that the hard drive doesn't have enough free space on it, which would cause it to run slower than usual. Try cleaning up some free space on the hard drive by deleting save files, downloadable content, or media that you don't need any more. (To delete things from the hard drive, on the Xbox 360 go to System Settings > Memory > Select your hard drive (HDD) and begin selecting items to either delete OR copy/move to a USB storage device) Just for good measure, I would try to clean the lens also. If this doesn't speed things up, it could be a hardware issue. If you're still under warranty, you could give Microsoft a call, and possibly send it in for repairs.

Here's a link to go to the Xbox support page: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/Pages/default.aspx

Good luck!

Xbox 360 E73 error. What do I do?

Turn on unit until the red light flashes and the error code(E 73) shows up on the screen. Next insert toothpicks in the back of the console(while unit is running) into the cooling fans, this is to suppose to overheat the console and start two red lights flashing. Turn off console when this happens(unplug all cords from console) and turn the system back on.

Hey there guys i know this reset thing is sucky i havent resolved this but i have a weird solution i myself moded my xbox after the warrenty was long gone ive had my same xbox for almost 5 yeaars im always...

if you want to ,you can take some computer cpu fans with the fat end and splice a power cable or use a corded fan that snapps onto the existing connector and have lots of fans in the 360.the cooler it is the better and faster it will run.this will also help to prevent the red ring of death.the harddrive makes noise because of a disbalannce of the magents.if a loud clanking accurs then the harddrive is going bad and need replaced.the fans are probably slower because of the bearing is bad.if they are slow and don't put out much air and they vibrate when ran then they need replaced.if you got any questions please email me at gamecrazy944@yahoo.com

Just got the xbox 360 guitar hero world tour for christmas. We got the drums and guitar working with no problems, but the microphone wont work. Is that supposed to plug directly into the console?

What you need to do is plug the microphone into the xbox 360, then you need to connect a regular 360 controller to the xbox... there are not any buttons on the microphone which is why the controller is needed.

i had this same problem, so i figured, "what the hell?" i might as well open the dvd drive up and clean it out. so i looked for how to video for taking apart my 360 and opening the dvd drive on you tube( this voids your warantee of course) and i cleaned all the dust out with compressed air and swabs dipped in alchohol. this worked for me so i hope it works for you.

the PS3 has a slower frame rate than the 360 version. I dont know how slow yours is running, but its not supposed to be that noticable. Some Maddens were defective. Try exchanging it for another one

XBOX 360 Power Adapter

What happened when you switched on the console? I think the 360 is supposed to run from 240v (at least that's what it says on the power brick) 220v may not be enough to power the console. You may have damaged the console but I'm unsure as I've never run into this situation before. You could try another power brick making sure you use the correct voltage. I'm sorry if this isn't much help but please rate if at all useful, thanks!
