I tried to start my AC while being plugged into my home. it tripped the GFI on my outlet and then I reset GFI and now AC unit won't do anything. Breaker in RV wasn't tripped and fuzes look ok. I'm stumped?????

Try connecting Motorhome to correct power supply at RV PARK or use on board generator. AC units need at least 30 AMPS most household plug sockets are only around 13 amps.

Hmmm..sounds like an amperage issue..what's the rating on those units. other plugging in at your place, is most likely hitting an invertor, which needs enough juice on back end to power those..check with the previous owner to determine what they did

Why does the unit beep after it is pluged in.

Most new window units have a ground fault circuit. More than likely, the outlet you are using is Not grounded or the Neutral and Hot side are reversed. They make a tester you can purchase at most home improvement stores. I would go buy one and test the outlet. You could have other outlets with the same problem. You have to use a 3 wire outlet. Large side of outlet=neutral, small side of outlet=hot, round or arched hole=earth ground.

I have coleman air conditioning units on my 1991 Georgie Boy. They both leak... water from rain and also when units are shut off, lots of water comes back in. I bought gaskets but it looks like someone...

I'm thinking that motorhome has a rubber roof, so you don't want to cut at roof, or you'll likely end up cutting rubber roof which is certainly not a good idea. It may take some work but try prying and scraping with a plastic scraper while someone lifts up ******* upper unit. Quite often whatever sealant they've used to seal between roof and gasket will start to let go with constant upward pressure.(lifting) If you have fiberglass type roof and not rubber, scrape and pry where gasket meets roof.

Everstar mpm2-10cr-bb6 will not reset on power cord. light on reset doesn't light. seems like no power is getting to the unit.

Check the outlet that the unit is plugged into, to be sure that it is in fact, working. The circuit breaker in your home's circuit breaker panel for that outlet, may have tripped. Also, the outlet may have interior damage or a loose wire connection. If the unit seems not to be getting power, one of the above is the problem. Try plugging the unit into another outlet in a different room.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

I have a question on Coleman AC

First of all, an extension cord and GFI receptacle to run an AC unit will almost always blow either GFI or circuit breaker or both due to large current draw from AC unit. If an extension cord needs to be used, keep it as short as possible, and use the heavier gauge that is approved for AC use. What happens when you use an extension cord, is the voltage drop that will happen by the time the AC gets power. With any voltage drop, the amperage draw increases, so a 15 amp circuit breaker will most likely trip. Nowadays, all AC units are wired with a minimum 12 gauge wire rated for 20 amps.
You say nothing is happening now, is that to say that the fan only mode doesn't work on the AC unit either?

Heat/AC unit in working order, plugged in 20Amp outlet.. no fan?

Do you have at least 200 volts at your outlet? Check that first. You said you brought it home from work, so when you plugged it in at home did you plug it into a 120 volt recepticle?

1994 mountainaire motorhome AC

Are you sure they are getting hydro & 12 volts DC? Check all breakers & fuses. You should at least hear clicking at units when turned on. Not likely both would go like that. Does your unit have a switch to go from one to other or both? What brand & type of thermostat are you using?

No suction - air blowing OUT from tube

Is the air blowing out of the pick-up tube or out of the exhaust tube on the unit? I am assuming the pick-up tube. The installer has hooked your system up to the exhaust tube on the unit. Hook up to the intake on the unit instead.

Ecoquest Fresh Air Purifier Quit Working

My husband came home and checked out the unit. He discovered that the cord was bad, so he replaced it with one we had. It works fine. The cord plugs into the unit at one end and into the wall at the other end. There was no rewiring needed. Problem solved!
