If you mean your computer restarts continuosly One bad/faulty lead can cause a computer with lots of problems
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

Hello here is some info about the mainboard:
More info and drivers visit the MSI homepage.
The fault could be the ram module ( wrong mhz size )
The ram module must be DDR ram, other type of ram will not fit the mainboard.
The mainboard does not support more than 2gb of ram, if more insertet the mainboard will not boot up ( no display ) and maybe a beep code will come when you try to boot.
The fault could also be the power supply, or a intenal fault on the mainboard, maybe bad capacitors or the graphic chip is burned.

Try to boot with only one ram module, and try also with another power supply you know is working.
Try also to reset the bios by removing the cmos battery for like 10 min.
The power cord must be disconnected when you do this.
Also try with a intenal AGP graphic card.

Hope you get it running

Reset or Recharge the bois

Hello the homepage is here:

Download the manual, for detailed setup instuctions.

The bios can set to reset by removing the cmos battery on the mainboard and insert it the same way again.

But you have to setup the bios settings, clock, date, boot settings.
The battery can also be renewed, it sometimes rans out of power.
The battery is a cr 2032 3 volts watch type.

Try not to upgrade the bios, unless you 100% sure it`s the right mainboard !!!!!!!!
Flashing the bios with a wrong one, will destroy the mainboard.

Good luck

Pc black after bios flash

Open up your pc! You'll find a small round flat battery inside on the mainboard!
Remove it for a few seconds (30 sec).
Now place the battery back on the mainboard.

Restart it and its good to go!
This will flash your bios and reset all settings!

I have an Olevia Model #: 747-B11 P/N: FM1-047000E-S00 S/N: VLCD 79140278 Unit comes on gives you the Olevia screen than you get "NO SIGNAL" at the left bottom corner. Cannot switch SOURCE...

Hi Hernould,

First of all thank you for posting your question here at

My first advice is to do system reset by unplugging the unit from the outlet(AC source) for at least 1 hour to refresh it and back to factory settings.

If the symptoms remain the same after the system reset, this is an indication that there's a faulty board inside. The symptoms you've described indicated that the T-con board, inverter board, power supply board, backlight of your unit is working but there's a problem on the mainboard that's why it display the words "No Signal" and unresponsive to remote control and front panel button key.

The mainboard has a lot of circuitry that has each functions. Suspected faulty circuitry on the mainboard are the Microcomputer, AV circuitry, I/O circuitry, EEPROM. Click it HERE for the mainboard replacement.

But before you replace the mainboard I would advice you to inspect the electrolytic capacitor on the power supply board feeding the mainboard. If one of the supply voltage is gone to malfunction, the circuitry on the mainboard will be disable. Check the encircled capacitor.

Most of the faulty electrolytic capacitor has a physical indication of fault like bulged/dome at the top and can be easily identify through visual inspection. See sample picture below of faulty capacitor with dome at the top.

Also, don't forget to check if your unit is under warranty period before an attempt to open the back cover, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Rating and feedback are highly appreciated.

Have a nice day!

Good luck and take care!

Kind Regards,

Samsung ML2551N: Initialization problem on startup

Replace all electrolytic capacitors in power supply section on mainboard. caused by poor quality lower voltage caps being used in powersupply. Problem will reoccur every 2 to 3 years if 105oC caps are not used. If mainboard is replaced with new mainboard problem will reoccur within same timeframe. Fix old mainboard using higher voltage and higher temp caps and problem will be gone for good.
