I need to replace my 2001 Acura CL Bose radio system, I currently have a Nav system in my car. Can I replace the radio system with a non Nav Bose radio from 2001? Will I lose the Nav if I do? Harv914

My current radio part # is 39100-S3M-A22
The radio I would like to use as a replacement is part # 39101-S3M-A130-M1

Someone told me there may be different size plug inputs in the Nav & non Nav models and they may not be replaceable.

Usually the nav system comes as being compatible with the stereo. But if you are looking to replace with a non nav system the probability of loosing the Nav system depends on the compatibility of the new system to the nav system. But if the nav system is a component of the sound system then you will definitely loose the nav system. But if the nav system is independent of the sound system then replacing the sound system will not be affected.
If i can get the models of all both sound systems and the nav system then i can give precise information on what replacement will affect and not affect.
hope to hear from you if this solution has not been helpful. Otherwise please endeavour to rate the solution.
Thank you.

The old radio does not have the nav system as a component of it self. Therefore replacing the radio system will not affect the nav system.
Although there might be some connection issues as you might need new connection cables to connect the nav sysytem to the radio.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Your radio will need a code and the only way you might get it is, If you contact the place where you got the car they might have the code still. Good luck

Radio and navi won't turn on. Tried looking for blown fuse but unable to locate one. Help.

It helps to state what radio you have.....So did you find the fuse and its good?and getting power or just tried to find it? Try fuse 11 and 13 for the Nav. Fuse 8 and 9 inside and fuse 4 under hood for BOSE SYSTEM. Fuse 8, 9 under dash and 48 under hood for non BOSE

Where is the cabin af in a 2001 Acura CL 3.2 w/nav?

You open the glove box and you will see two black plastic pieces toward the top on either side of the glove box. This is what is holding the glove box up. Get a screw drive and pop these off. the glove box will fall down. Then you will see a white plastic box this is where your filters are...open it and pull both out and replace

Replaced the battery in my 2007 Acura. I entered the 4 digit code....the nav system works but the radio doesn't turn on.

I solved the problem. Turns out there were two codes, two "enter" code messages and two keys to enter the codes. The keys for the nav code were obvious. The keys for the radio are the preset buttons.
