Uninstall the printer and software completely and start all over. Follow these steps:

Follow the steps below to install the printer driver and TWAIN Driver/Epson Scan Utility.

Install TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility

      Note:

If you see a window that says User Account Control at any point, click Continue.

    1. Turn off the Epson Stylus CX.

    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the Epson Stylus CX.

    3. Go to the Drivers & Downloads page.

    4. Download the TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility for Windows Vista. Make a note of the file name and save location so you can easily retrieve it.

    5. Open the file you downloaded, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

    6. If you see a Windows Security window, click Install or Install this driver software anyway.

    7. Click Finish when done.

    Install Printer Driver

    Note:

    We
recommend that you install the TWAIN Driver and Epson Scan Utility as
described in the preceding section before installing the printer driver.

    1. Make sure your Epson Stylus CX is NOT connected to your computer.

    2. Note:

If you see a Found New Hardware screen, click Cancel. You can't install your software that way.

    3. Go to the Drivers & Downloads page.

    4. Download the Printer Driver for
your version of Windows Vista: either Vista 32-bit or Vista 64-bit.
Make a note of the file name and save location so you can easily
      retrieve it.

    5. Note:

To see which version of Windows Vista you have, click Start > Computer > System Properties. Check the operating system type listed under the System heading.

    6. Open the file you downloaded, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.

    7. When prompted, reconnect the USB cable and turn on your printer.

    8. Click OK when done.

New laptop with windows 7 won't print to Lexmark x7350. says to enable bidirectional support - but that option is grayed out.

Make sure to use the correct printer driver version for your operating system. You may need to uninstall your existing printer driver first before downloading the new driver. Go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 7300 Series > Tools > Uninstall. After the uninstall process, reboot pc when prompted.
When your computer turns on, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > Properties. Check the System Type. Note: Use Vista driver in Windows 7.
Use the links below to download and install the printer driver: - Lexmark X7350 Driver for Vista/Win7 32-bit - Lexmark X7350 Driver for Vista/Win7 64-bit
Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

Was given the Epson CX3810 without instruction manual or disk. Can you tell me how to install?

what kind of operating system are you using?
the driver should be available at the website www.epson.com. from there you would find specific drivers for your product.

if it should be running under vista, the drivers are already incorporated with the operating system itself. it sometimes auto detect once you plug it in. and if not manually install it using the printer wizard

My computer wont even recognize the software/printer & plugs. The ink runs fine. Does anyone know how to set it up as a new printer?

Keep the printer unplugded and run the drivers Cd that came with th printer. If it is an old printer and you need to install it on Vista go to the printer manufacturer website and downlaod the compatiable drivers.

Rate if useful.

Printer won't print

Although Lexmark has not released a Windows Vista driver for the Lexmark X75 printer, there is a good chance that Vista will support your printer without the need for installing a driver (i.e. Windows Vista probably comes with a driver for your printer already built into the operating system). Windows Vista comes with support for 2.2 million devices and since your printer is not a new model, it is likely to be supported. Just try connecting it to a computer that is running Windows Vista and see if it is detected and installed for you.

We do have the drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP available for download from our driver database:
