You can take the foam out but I wouldn't recommend it. The problem with removing it is that your taking away the buffer from cold air to ambient air and your unit will begin to sweat on the outside causing water to drip onto anything underneath the unit

My Heatpump Unit in the lounge is dripping water onto carpet. I have it set on 22aircon checked the filters and are all clean. Bought this house last year and there was no Manual left. Can you help

in my experience there can be two reasons for this.

The drain is blocked. Often there is a kind of jellified sludge that just needs cleaning from the drain hole. Pour a cup of Javex Bleach down it afterwards.

I have also seen ice build up on pipes as they come out of the compressor. You will see a small ball of dripping frost and ice. You just turn the unit off until it melts and then insulate it with foam or insulating wrap.

Rain water leaking in drivers side vauxhall meriva

if this is a new shape meriva the problem is the wiper scuttle seal leaking water .it drips into the engine bay, onto the heater pipes and tracs into the cabin.Pour water onto the screen and look into the engine bay, just behind the engine and you will see it drip onto the heater pipes where they enter the bulkhead. It then tracs into the cabin and soaks the carpet. The problem is a foam seal on the scuttle panel when it should be a rubber one.One fix is to ensure that the seal where the heater pipes enter via the engine bay is dry and spray it and the pipes with underseal.Vauxhall are aware but dont have a solution?

Water condenses on outside bottom of freezer and drips on floor

I would not remove the bottom and replace the insulation. Where is the unit located in your home?

The top of the inside of my 2002 Whirlpool refrigerator Model ET1FTK (top mount)is frozen and is dripping onto the first shelf.

Hello,

The cause of that drip is going to be a blocked defrost drain in the freezer and the water from the defrost is pooling up in the freezer then when it can't hold anymore it's dripping through the vent in the ceiling of the refrigerator onto the shelfs. By removing the back wall of the freezer you could find the drain on the bottom of the freezer coil. By GENTLY peircing that frozen drain at a 45 degree angle until a small hole is formed in the built up ice it could be totally flushed using warm water once a small opening is made in the ice in the drain.

Hi, I am installing a stainless steel sink I have had made into a bench top which I will be filling with ice to keep beers cold. As there is a cupboard underneath I am worried that the ice will cause...

I would take a two-step approach.

1) Get one or two cans of polyurethane foam insulation (e.g. Great stuff). It would be easiest if the sink is not yet installed. If it is, get a bunch of newspapers and keep the area well covered inside your cupboard. This stuff will stick to anything (including stainless steel sink bottoms).

Spray the foam insulation onto the sink surface. It has a wand to spray into small areas, just make lines about 2 inches apart as you spray (more like caulking). You will seet the foam expand. Run another line of foam between the ones you made if you think it is not covering (expanding) well enough. Let it expand and harden for a day.

Part 2)
Here you want to prevent any air from getting under your sink. If you can limit any condensation to the air that is under the sink, you wont get too much water. If you allow air to circulate, then all the air passing by will deposit some dew onto your sink bottom.

Get some foam insulation strips like you want to insulate a window or door. The best option would be Frost King (EDPM) extruded profiles. Thes strips come in 3/16" and compress easily as your cabinet door closes. You might want to put spring hinges on the doors or a spring latch to keep it tightly closed.
==
Good luck and try to stay clean. You might want to practice on a board outside if you haven't worked with spray foam insulation before - be careful, it drips and runs a bit before it hardens so keep your lines thin as you spray..

Frozen keyboard & mouse on Acer Notebook

You may have a motherboard failure problem. I would ask you to check the drivers and update them but will be hard to do if you can't get past load screen. You best bet may to get a copy of system recovery and boot pc with the disk installed. Wipe computer completely clean and reinstall windows.

Mantis 4 cycle (brand new): oil leaking out, smoking soaking air cleaner, quits running..

Sounds like your gas tank is not breathing properly. try this: the next time you run the tiller and it begins to stall out, try loosening the gas cap. It should start running again. This means that the gas cap is clogged. Unclog it or purchase another one.

Is the little suds screen missing from your shampooer tank? It should be covering the hole that the hose plugs onto. Sometimes they also get lodged in the hose sideways.
