I get lines in the picture of a Powerspec LCD TV anytime I plug anything into the inputs and coaxial outlet.

Hello,
All plasma and Lcd ts have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them, but it is very easy to wreck em.

Where is the coaxial output on the LT-2722 twenty-seven inch LCD TV from Norcent


Many new TV's do not have a standard coaxial input anymore. The industry has moved on from that and you might have to get an external tuner to get an input like that. Televison station won't scan


If you are receiving a "No Signal" error message, verify that:
  1. All of the cables physically connected to the TV and the input device are secure.
  2. The input device is turned on.
Your TV needs to scan for channels before it can show programming from an antenna, from cable TV when the cable comes directly from the wall (no cable box), or from a cable or satellite box connected to the TV with a coaxial (RF) cable. Do not scan for channels if you have a cable or satellite box connected using AV (Composite), Component, or HDMI cables. The box selects the channel, not the tuner inside your television. If you are not using the "TV" input, press the INPUT button on your remote until the correct input mode is selected.
To perform a channel scan using the coaxial input:
  1. Press the INPUT button on your remote to view your current input source. The TV (coaxial cable) input must be selected. This may appear as "TV," "ANT," or the channel and call letters of a station.
  2. If the TV input is not selected, press INPUT until the TV input mode is selected.
  3. Open the on-screen menu and select TV or Tuner option. (This varies by model.)
  4. Highlight Tuner Mode and select the correct option:
    • Antenna-over-the air signals from an antenna
    • Cable-direct from the wall cable TV, or a cable or satellite box connected to the TV with coaxial cable
  5. Select Auto Search or Auto Channel Scan. (This varies by model.)
  6. When the search reaches 100% complete, exit to the menu.
  7. Check the available channels:
    • Antenna or direct-from-wall cable-Press the Channel Up and Channel Down buttons on your VIZIO TV remote to view the available channels.
    • Cable or satellite box- Will return only one channel. Use the cable or satellite remote's Channel Up and Channel Down buttons.
If this does not resolve the issue, power cycle the TV and then re-run the channel scan:
  1. Turn off the TV.
  2. Unplug the TV from the electrical outlet.
  3. While the TV is unplugged from the wall, press and hold the Power button on the TV for 30 seconds.
  4. Release the power button.
  5. Plug the TV back into the electrical outlet.
  6. Turn on the TV.
Note: There is also an option to reset the TV to the factory default settings. This option is in either the SETUP or SYSTEM section of the on-screen menu. The option may be "Reset all settings", "System Reset," or "Reset & Admin." Consult your TV's user manual for the location and steps for resetting your model.
  1. Remove the coaxial cable from the DTV/TV connector on the back of your television and perform a channel scan to clear the existing channels. See the procedure above. This should not find any channels.
  2. Re-attach the coaxial cable to the DTV/TV connector and perform a new channel scan.

You can fix you have to follow this instruction

1-Reset the TV by unplugging its power cord for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. This is an essential troubleshooting tool as a simple reset often will resolve the great majority of technical issues experienced by any kind of TV. Power the TV on after plugging it back in and check the picture for any improvement.

2-Unscrew the coaxial cable that attaches your wall cable outlet to either the coaxial cable input on the plasma TV or to any digital cable converters you may use at home. Check the copper needle in the middle of the cable for any bending or damage and screw the cable back on the coaxial input. Again, check the picture for any improvements.

3-Secure the audio/video connection cables that attach the source device you are trying to watch to the plasma TV. This is a particularly important step if you use component cables. Component cables separate a video signal into different colors, so a damaged or loose component cable can lead to noticeable discoloration on the screen. Once the cables are secure, both in the source device and the plasma TV, check the picture again to see if this may have resolved the issue.

4-Scan your channel lineup and check the other TVs in your home to determine the scope of the problem. If you see the discoloration only on one or a few channels, and the same channels are discolored on the other TVs in your home, you may be part of a cable service outage and you will need to report the issue to your cable provider. If all the channels on the one TV have the same discoloration, and the other TVs in the home look normal, the plasma TV likely will need to be serviced for a problem with its picture components.

It can be the cable outlet is bad, or the cable itself. Try it again in the old room or try another TV with this cable outlet. You are not using cable box, right?

How to connect cable line to TV? I don't see input on side or back for cable line.


if you do not have an RF connector on your TV then you will need to use component cables from your cable or satelite box to your TV. You might even go to HDMI for best picture results.

I had the same problem it's the power it switches on is off and off is on I had to plug and unplug it from the back and shock the television until it remained off than you can turn the tv on and you'll get a picture.

110v lcd tv was plugged to 22ov outlet


Hello nik286, hi, check first the label at the back of the TV, look for a voltage input something like a 90V-240V, if you see this, its an autovolt system, this type of power supply input is standard nowadays. Assuming your asking what would be damage, this could be anything from the fuse, thermal resistor, rectifier diodes, and the regulator IC of the power supply board.

One of the most recognizable makers of TVs in the world is Toshiba. The company's TVs are found in every major electronics store at a reasonable price. Packed with features, they have a model for everyone, whether it be LCD or older, tube-based CRT technology. Toshiba T.v are fairly easy to operate. Basic functions
  • Before you do anything with your Toshiba TV, you have to plug it in to a wall outlet. After plugging it in, locate the power button on the front (or on the remote) and turn on your TV. Depending on if you have cable TV or not, you can use the channel functions to flip between your favorite channels. The "Menu" button is useful to access advanced settings, like channel detection, parental controls, closed captions and picture controls.
  • Using video inputs
  • You can connect a variety of devices to your Toshiba TV via its front, side or rear inputs. If you look at the back, you'll see a variety of audio and video inputs to connect virtually any kind of device. You should see a few kinds of video inputs: Composite and s-video (for connecting older technology like VCRs and cable boxes), component video (for connecting older DVD players) and HDMI (for connecting digital technology like receivers and Blu-Ray players). Audio inputs are analog (red and white) or digital (coaxial and optical). Use digital connections when possible to ensure the best quality.

    Dear simon, Seems like a simple problem. In all likelihood, one of the Electrolytic Capacitors in the vertical Output stages has failed.It could also be a cold / dry solder, as symptoms seem to disappear when you tap the set. But, do not try anything thing at home. A proffessional Techie should fix it up in 15-20 mins. Definitely worth the spend.
