Question about Garden
Normal washing shouldn't hurt it. If you were using a pressure washer or a strong jet on garden hose you may have blown a wire off somewhere. If you were washing the deck may have blown a wire off of a safety switch down there. There is a safety switch on clutch, break, on seat(under) check those, that is where I'd start.
