My whirlpool electric HE dryer will not start, it goes to a sensing mode and will not start. What should I do?

Try cleaning the sensing strips with windex.

This is the most common locations for thermal fuses and heating element on Whirlpool,Kenmore,Estate dryers. seth765.jpgseth765_0.jpg
check all these fuse and see if they have continuity the one in the top pic is missing but it will be white and that is the one that usually goes bad when you have no power

well the sensing light will stay on till it feels wet clothes against it if you in auto dry mode it says it wont start without feeling wet clothes against the silver bars in the vent housing it says it will run in manuel mode even if it doesn't feel them pull the top off the dryer and on the right hand side is a tech service sheet in a plastic bag see what it says
