Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer
To clarify with you has your power cord ben damage or do just need to know where to connect it on the printer?
Note look at the picture below you should have an AC Power Brick with your power cord. With your most of your modern electronic devices the power cord plugs intto the AC Power Brick and this is what connects to the device. This is done so that the same printer can be made for different parts of the world and all they have to change it the cable that plugs into the AC Power Brick.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

I once worked at Best Buy and while there as a tech, found out HP doesn't really provide service manuals, and they only supply parts and schematics to Authorized HP Dealers and repair facilities. This requires most people to send their units in for repair. What this translates into is that one has to disassemble and fix the printer on their own, and kind of using the take apart and figure it out as you go routine. Never fun, or easy, but it's the way it is.
I'm assuming you're talking about the ribbon connector, and that will go from the print head movable assembly to either a sub board or the main board in side the machine.
Some printers use torq security screws to discourage disassembly and repair, not sure if these do.
Depending on how mechanical you are, you might be able to reconnect it. You will recognize the plug for the ribbon connector when you see it, and it will go on two ways, but the physical structure is usually obvious.
If you run the printer in to a computer repair shop, they may be able to give you some ideas to assist in the disassembly.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
