This is not a Windows issue the is a IP issue. You will need to see if you have an IP
Internet Protocol ) address for the connection to be successful.
You will have to do a ipconfig /all to see if you have media connection.
this is done by logging in to the router modem via a browser window ( internet Explorer
FireFox) using the IP
address 192.168.0.1 this will bring you to the router GUI (graphical user interface)
if you haven't entered a password just type "admin' the 1st field then enter no password ne
needed.
there is a release/renew button there click and this will release a new IP address for you
to connect with.
You will also need to configure your browser for the internet

Does the netopia 3342 have windows 7 drivers, and if so where can I download them.

This is an older unit and drivers are not available for any OS beyond XP service pack 1. You can try to use the XP drivers in windows 7, but this is not recommended as they may not work, and you may experience other problems such as crashes and system instability.

Iogear print server not compatible with windows 7

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg

Just bought a new cpu, put it together and purchased the western digital 160 gb sata II model number WD1600AAJS. i am installing windows 7 on it, or attempting and it won't recognize the drive. it says it...

The drivers are not needed, West. Digital is right. Your problem is that the hard disk is not recognized by the motherboard (not the cpu). Since you didn't mentioned anything about motherboard's brand / model, I have to tell you that you have to get into the bios settings and get yout hard disk recognized by the bios. I assume that the connections are right.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

NO you cannot, on that same computer, no matter what OS, because, you MUST change your central Processing Unit, CPU. To allow Windows 7 to work correctly.

Newly reinstalled windows is not recognizing my 2241 Netopia driver via ethernet cable. I believe i just need the driver / software that will allow windows to recognize that i have a modem connected

You can do it manually without the CD.
MAke sure that your computer is able to go online
through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the
modem
Then you need to connect the computer to the router
ad the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the
settings of the router according to the ISP.

I have a computer where the MOBO and CPU went bad and I replaced. The old computer came with Windows Vista installed on it, no CD. Now, Windows Vista won't boot and windows start up repair is activated...

The problem is when Vista was installed on the old pc it only recognizes that pc so you will need to buy a copy of Vista and install it on the new pc. And if you don't want to loose your info you can buy a ide/sata to usb cable and hook it up to your new pc to transfer your old info across. Hope this helps.
