Question about Bosch 24 in. SGS43C12 Classixx Free-Standing Dishwasher
It's almost definitely a loose connection in the wiring to the cut-off switch in the door catch or to the control panel. Vibration from the machine during operation is probably causing it to lose contact, and when you tap the panel or close the door it makes contact again.
The only way to check this is to remove the control panel and/or the main door panel. You'll need a T20 T-Star screwdriver to remove the panel.
If you've got the tool and are confident enough to have a go, post back and I'll give you some tips on removing the panels and what/where to check.. Otherwise you're going to need an Engineer or a competent friend.
I could do it if you're near Bristol . . . England.
