I erased all the songs from this mp3 play to put new ones on after erasing the songs the play won't be picked up by pc and am unable to put new songs onto mp3 plaey the players just displays please wait...

yes...unplug from pc shut mp3 off for a minute...plug it to pc (did it come on turn it on)...please get into the habit of disconnecting any usb connection with the safety disconnect...(green icon in task bar when usb is connected)...since you already deleted all files (format it now) start fresh...now you are able to put your songs on it...but to disconnect do not....do not just unplug the usb

MY MP3 PLAYER WONT RESET FOR SOME REASON

are you sure you deleted all the songs?I suggest you connect to your pc again ,open the folder where your music is and just try deleting one song.now disconnect and see if the song is still there , actually on the player. It's possible you disconnected before the pc had time to delete everything or that you deleted the files from your pc not the player.Did you get the usual message asking you if you're sure you wanted to delete and did it then show you a progress bar?

Deleting songs.

Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection.
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\MUSIC
folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).

If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.

Deleting all songs and trying to put more on

Could be corrupt firmware:

Install and run Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Press and hold [PLAY/PAUSE] on the player whilst connecting to the PC.

Follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player and replace the firmware.

The manufacturers website has an informational manual to assist you through the steps to do this. It is not an easy task when you are learning this for the first time--believe me! As a techy it also took me a while and the manual had wealth of information based upon my model.

check out the information here, based upon the model information you hve inputed on here:

EACH TIME YOU HOOK UP TH EIPOD IT REINSTALLS ALL THE EXISTING SONGS ALONG WITH NEW ONES. YOU CANNOT DELETE THEM AFTER YOU INSTALL THEM OR THEY WILL ALL BE DELETED THE NEXT TIME YOU HOOK IT UP.
