Hello AllieBaba,

I am sorry to hear about your Ipod Nano. Unfortunately Best Buy's™ Product Replacement Plan (PRP) does not cover liquid or physical damage. As such, the PRP would not cover the damage sustained by a MP3 player that was run through the wash.
Best Regards,
Ken

I have water damage to my Apple iPod Touch, I have a warranty, but I don't want to go through the process of them fixing it

Unfortunately, your warranty only covers factory defects. What you are looking for is Insurance on the device, which in turn, would cover water damage and other accidents.

I am afraid your Warranty will not cover the repairs or replacement of your iPod.

Sorry.

I dropped my ipod touch and it now has a chip on the side and a crack running across the screen. I purchased the 2 year product replacement care plan. How do I get it replaced?

if your plan covers the screen being dropped then get your papers together and take the ipod to the apple store they might take it and repair it / replace it ...good luck

this is the online help if you need it

PRODUCT REPLACEMENT PLAN

The product replacement warranty from walmart doesn't cover water damage/if you drop it/ run over it with a car...nothing accidental, just factory defects. They should have given you a paper with the replacement line number on it, and if not, call walmart again, ask for a manager in electronics, and ask them. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. Sorry if this didn't help

Ipod touch got ran over need to repair or get new one. Have a 2 year service plan and i've had it for a year

Is you service plan from Apple or is it from a store like bestbuy? If it you only have apple care then they will not do anything for you, they only cover defects, and rarely even cover that. If you have a warranty from say bestbuy you will be able to bring it in and get a new one free of charge.

Hey Sarahh_hyser,

While issues such as defective batteries can easily be addressed through a Best Buy Performance Service Plan (PSP) or Product Replacement Plan (PRP), liquid damage and water immersion are unfortunately not covered under either type of plan.

If you'd like more information regarding your coverage, remember that you may always contact us directly at our toll-free hotline for further assistance: (888)-539-6883.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Zune warranty

Hello btexpresss,

Sorry to hear about your Zune. Unfortuantely, liquid damage is not covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty or Best Buy's™ Performance Service Plan. The unit may still be repairable but those repairs are not going to be covered by the service plan.

Best Regards,
Ken

Ipod trauma

Hi chelia,

I am sorry to hear about your iPod. Unfortunately, neither the manufacturer's warranty nor 2-year extended replacement plan cover liquid damage.

The unit may still be repairable. You will want to use Apple's Online Service Assistant to find out the repair options available to you and the cost. Depending on the extent of the liquid damage, it may make more sense economically to just replace the product.

Best Regards,
Ken

Hi jamal jamix,

I'm sorry to inform you but liquid damage is not going to be covered by either the unit's manufacturer's limited warranty or your extended service plan or replacement plan.

The unit may still be repairable but any repair is going to be at your cost. You will want to contact Apple directly to find out how to get an estimate for repairs.

Best regards,
Ken
