Try google with tias.com, relics, they have alot of manuals for old machines for sale. I don't know if they can tell you how old it is, but you can ask. Their site is pretty good .Good luck.

I just purchased a White VS treadle machine. The serial number is 654125. Can I get a manual for this machine?

Try Googling (white)(model)(manual) without parens. Note: the serial number is not the model.

Where to find Free PDF manuals for White sewing machines and Overlockers/Sergers

Hi
strange as it may seem, there are free White overlocker/serger manuals via the Singer website. The manuals include 19th century models too!

Look under Singer's "Support and Resouces" then select "Instruction manuals" , or follow this link: http://www.singerco.com/support/instruction-manuals

On the Instructions Manual page you'll see it says "Find Your Manual - Step 1, Step 2 etc etc" and under that there's a search box that says "Model Number"

Into this search box just type "w"
(don't type "white", because that doesn't work)

You'll be taken to a near incomprehensible results page,
A) if you have a 20th century model, try doing a find via Ctrl-F and enter in your machine's model number.

B) if you have a 19th century machine, unfortunately the method to finding the manual you need is a case of clicking and opening the PDFs.
However may I suggest a couple that may be of use:
"W7treadle"
- this is a manual of White treadle with a "boat" style bobbin shuttle
"WRotary"
- this is a manual of White treadle with a "rotary" style bobbin shuttle

Good luck, and I hope you find what you need :)
Kind regards

I have a white treadle sewing machine i want to open to get the serial # but there is something holding from coming up more than 1/2 inch and I am afraid to force it. Any advice?

My white treadle is hard to pull up sometimes. There is a cable that lets the top of cabinet down or open. See (from underneath) if the cable is hung up on something. Here are two websites that can help you too.
http://www.ismacs.net
and
http://sewmachinerepair.com
Both of these are very good.

I just purchased a 1920ish Phoenix Treadle sewing machine model FF; have instruction book--written in German. I need to know how to thread the bobbin.

Most treadles have a bobbin filling mechanism that attaches to the a mated part near the wheel then you lower on to the treadle wheel to make it spin and wind the bobbin or do what I do...when I need something translated from German, I ask my my Bavarian Mom! If that is not an option find a new German friend, eat a your local German restaurant, or call the local embassy! Be sure to take the manual with you. More tedious and less fun is typing the German directions into a translation app.

I need a manual and parts book for a treadle sewing machine. Serial number B481745. I believe model is 27.

go google and type in---workshop manual for singer sewing machine model 27--
the beauty of singer is that there were few changes made in the treadle series so any book around that age would be helpful

How ti put together a 1912 white sewing machine cabiet together

Hi! Not sure if this will help, but as a starting point you can find free manuals for 19th century/early 20th century White brand sewing machines via the Singer website.

You'll be taken to a near incomprehensible results page and unfortunately the method to finding the manual you need is a case of clicking and opening the PDF manuals.

However may I suggest a couple that may be of use:
"W7treadle"
"WRotary"
- both of these manuals cover White treadles, and while they don't focus on the table as such, they do indicate parts and that may be the info you need.

If not, I own a White treadle sewing machine and table from 1906, and I am happy to take photos of the parts if that's helpful. You can see a few photos of it on my blog, link included below.

Good luck, and I hope you find what you need :)

Need a manual for a Golden Star treadle sewing machine model 5048883 A.G. Mason Co.of Cleveland, Ohio, a subsidary of White Sewing Machine Company

I suggest that you look for a similar White manual. Sometimes you can also run across these types of old manuals on Ebay or Etsy.

Good luck.
