WII audio and TV audio simultaneously

I have what I thought are the right hookups, as I can hear the wii sounds and play games. The only problem is my tv sound is also on.

Do you have surround sound, if you do you will need to plug the wii hookups into the surround sound, or plug it into the tv and shut the surround sound off.

What king of hookups do you have for the wii? Component? a/v? If they are red white and yellow and are hooked up to tv, some tvs have multiple a/v hookups. Be sure you're on the right channel

Hello, when I connect my Wii to a Samsung 3D plasma tv I get a black and white (non-crisp) picture but I do get sound. When I do the same set up on a tube tv everything works. I tried the set up on...

a 3D tv is another form of an HD TV, you need the Wii HD cable to play it right, and make sure you plug it into the HD ports on the TV to get the color and sound back.

When I turn the Wii on it makes no sound

Check to see if the audio cables from the Wii to the TV might have come loose or unplugged.

If you have a friend with a Wii, see if their cable connecting the Wii to the TV works. Your cable might have gone bad.

My Wii is on and I can hear the sound, but the picture won't come up. My Playstation works fine and we tried all the hookups

This would probably be the cord that is bad or has a short or somthing as if your getting sound and not video you will need to replace this cord from the WII to the Tv it should work fine then, Thanks

Wii makes a buzzing sound when discs are running

The noise is the wii working extra hard to read the disk the lens might be dirty. Your wii might also have a bomb in it.............Just kidding. I would try cleaning the inside and if all is bad send it in to get fixed

Wii video is black and white

Possibly you've plugged the video into the component (RGB) portion of the input - this calls for 3 connectors (Red, Blue, & Green) and if you only plug one in from a composite it comes out grayscale. If you only have one video lead (yellow connector) make sure it is going to a composite connection which should also be yellow. Otherwise, more info is needed about your connections.

Sound

Hi, your wii should provide sound through the Tv as well as the wii remotes, All you need connected should be the skart cable connected to the tv to provide the picture & sound.
i would suggest you contact the company you purchased the wii, due to its still under warrenty. i currently have 2 with no problems and didnt need to change any settings

have a good new year
