SOURCE: ''The protector'' gun safe I need a user manual

If it is "The Protector" from Costco, open the door and put your hand back by the top of the rear of the door in the seam. There you should feel a little button, push and hold til it beeps then enter your 4 digit code, hit "A" and release. Lock the wheel with door open and make sure your new code works.
Good luck!

SOURCE: My Gun Safe will not

there are a few things that might have happened,, one thing is that the battery is almost dead and does not have enough power to fully retract the locking bolt, or the bolt motor itself has failed and is not pulling the bolt back far enough to let the handle move, or the bolt is dragging, or a broken drive gear. all these are very common problems and in the lockshop that I worked at we would get 2 of these calls a week.
there is one thing that you can try before you call a locksmith to come out and try and get it open. IF it is not bolted to the floor : try and gently lay the safe down on its side ( hinge side twords the floor -- door facing you ), now with the help of a helper,, have them hold the top or bottom of the safe about 5 inches off the floor and you type in your combo, just as the combo is finished and you know that the ' clicking ' sound is about to click, have them drop the safe to the floor,, the timing has to be perfect and this may in fact let the bolt fall back into the combo pack enough to open the door,, turn the handle quickly and open the door. if this works ( 1 in about 100 ) then set the safe upright again and with the door open lubricate all moving parts / replace the battery and test the lock 15 times ( do not close the door until you have tested the system many times ).
if this does not work then call your local locksmith ( safe tech ) and have them come out to service the lock. ( they most likely will need to drill a small hole under the dial and move the bolt out of the way and replace whatever has broken ).

How do I change the battery on a winchester gun safe door?

Winchester uses several different brands of locks. You need to be more specific as to the lock that is on your safe. However, most batteries are contained in a housing on the under side of the code entry pad.

S&G batteries are usually removed by simply pulling slightly forward on the tab on the housing on the base of the lock. The housing will then drop down and you can change the battery.

Some locks will actually have the battery contained inside the code entry pad housing which can be removed by grasping the entire key pad housing and rotating the housing a few degrees counter clockwise, and then pulling the unit straight toward you.

Some locks may require you to remove a screw, but most do not.

A more specific description of which lock is installed in your safe will allow for a more specific answer. A picture also helps.

I can't get into my gun safe and I have already changed the battery but my combo doesn't seem to work anymore, what do I do ?

If you don't have a key to get into your safe try contacting the manufacturer and give them the serial number of your safe for a new set of keys and or keypad. I had to do this when the keypad on my safe failed. Fortunately I had the keys to mine.

I forgot my combination i tried putting a couple different numbers in after three trys the key pad locked and now when i type any numbers in it doesnt work. how do i unlock my safe?

after 3 trys the keypad does go into lockout mode but it should only last for about 15 minutes and then let you retry 3 more codes to try and open. if you still do not know what the combo is you can usually call the maker of the safe and with the serial number you might be able to get the original combo that the safe was set to when it was purchased ( this is a factory set combo ) --- now if that does not work, your next step will be to call a safe tech ( locksmith ) to set up a auto dialer,, this takes about a full 24 hours to get the combo right. the safe tech can also drill a small hole behind the dial and manually remove the locking bolt. after the safe is opened the locksmith will fill the hole and reset the combo for you ( also replace the battery at this time too ).

Only through a licensed locksmith. Provide the key numbers and possibly even take the safe to him/her as proof of ownership. Locksmiths have to record all attemots to open safe's or maling f keysto the police.

The wrong number was input and now we can't get into the safe, we don't have a key for it, and the batteries seem to be flat. What can we do? The safe is an electronic digital safe GX B0709

You don't know the combination code, and you don't have a key? Or you know the right combo code, but the batteries are dead? If you have the right code, and the batteries are near-dead, try the jiggle suggestion...put the safe on you lap, put in the correct combo, and jiggle the safe while turning the latch. Might work.

I can't reset by keypad on my cannon gun safe electronic key pad

Hi,
First I would try the original numbers to see if you did change it. If the original numbers work then you need to start over. If they don't work then the new numbers you installed are there and you need to figure out what you punched in not what you meant to punch in.
Hope this Helps,
