  • Remove all standing water. I was able to do this by simply hitting the stop button. The machine emptied the water for me. It just would run a load. However, a shop vac or turkey baster works fine.

  • Unscrew the dishwasher from the counter top (2 philips screws). Also unscrew the plate near the floor. This plate is either phillips or socket. You must take the bottom off so you can raise the leveling feet. this give you the clearance to pull the unit out.

  • Pull out the unit, open the door and remove the racks. In the top right of the machine, you will notice a circle. This is a simple nut that if you turn will free the broken vent which. The nut is inside the machine, but the vent actually sits on top of the unit. It's best to pull out the machine before loosening the nut because, if loose, it may catch when you pull the unit out on the counter and bust the vent.

  • Last, before removing the fan, follow the wire to the bottom of the machine and simply unplug it from the connector.

  • Read the serial number to verify it on the fan then google it and order a part. I ordered my vent for about $115 and overnighted it for another $20.

  • Last, simply follow the steps in revers, with one modification, Test it!
Install the fun > connect the nut > plug the wire in > Test!!! > push machine into the space > lower the feet > attach to counter with phillips > fixed!!!

Why is my dishwasher leaking soap foam from the lower left area of the door?

A leaking dishwasher can be caused by excessive soapsuds. Excessive soapsuds are the most common reason dishwashers leak. Excessive soapsuds will cause dishwashers to leak from the door. Good dishwasher detergent will have no more than half inch of suds on top of the water. So any time your dishwasher is leaking from the door open the door, if there is more than a half inch of suds your problem is in your soap. One drop of hand soap, hand dish washing soap, or any other soap will cause dishwashers to leak. Now, I am not suggesting that you intentionally put this soap in the dishwasher because if you did the soapsuds would be from top-to-bottom of your dishwasher. Now if there are a lot of suds you can fix it by pouring vinegar or cold water into the dishwasher and running it, this will kill the subs.

Samsung dishwasher leaking when not running

First, try to find the source of the leak. Leaks most often appear at the door of the dishwasher or underneath. Leaks can be caused by a number of issues: worn door gasket, water temperature, leaking drain hose, worn gaskets, or a corroded tub. For help identifying the cause and finding a solution, see the troubleshooting chart at Dishwater leaking for more information. Good luck!

My dishwasher is leaking water when it is running

If it's leaking out the front by the door then you should check the latch and the rubber gasket/seal around the door.

If the leak is under the dishwasher then it could be the waste/drain hose or it's connection to the dishwasher or the pump/valve assembly. You should be able to narrow this down by running the dishwasher with the kickplate removed and feeling around underneath while it is running to find the water source.

    Bottom of door leaks

On almost all dishwashers, the gasket runs around the entire door surface (normally on the dishwasher, not the door itself. It is the shape of a rectangle and near the same size as the door.

A failed gasket is the most common cause of leaking.
Replacing it is not as hard as it appears but each one is kinda different.

    Water leaking from the door

Could be a number of things. If you are in an area with hard water you could be using too much soap or the wrong soap. The dishwasher could be out of level, or the door seal could need replacing. Dishwashers also need to be cleaned. Soap residue builds over time. Try running the d/w with no dishes or soap, pour 5-6 cups of white vinegar directly into the tub and run a whole cycle. And again watch the soap usage.
