Question about Hotpoint 24 in. FDW60 Free-standing Dishwasher
My hotpoint dwf61p is not filling with water on any pogam
On my unit, the float is underneath a small half sphere (I presume the LHS cover - whatever that is) to the right side of the door at the bottom. One small screw holds the cover on. Just take the cover off and work the small float/switch up and down a couple of times to free it up. This will allow the float to open the switch so the water line can fill the dishwasher.

There is a small float and micro switch behind the LHS cover which if activated will stop the water flow. you will need to remove the top cover(dont forget to unplug from the mains first !). then remove the side cover, you should find a clear plastic unit with a red float in side this maybe gumed up with scale. if so you should clean to allow the float to be free. this float activates a micro switch via a red arm. if this switch is stuck in this will stop the water flow. or the switch maybe faulty.
