SOURCE: rv air conditioner leaking
I have the same problem....it is a negative pressure problem holding water inside the unit until it overflows the pan and runs into the duct system. why this occurs....I don't know....I cant find a problem with my air return, but as soon as you turn in off, the water comes gushing out the drains on the unit. I resolved this....temporarily....by twisting up a paper towel into a wick, and placing one end up into the drain tray, with the other end lying well out into the exterior case. This lets the water wick out and keeps the tray drained. I don't understand the problem and don't know what the permanent fix will be, except maybe cutting a hole and placing an intake vent directly below the unit.

ITS NOT EASY. YOU NEED A LONG SET OF ALLENS TO LOOSEN BLOWER WHEELS. THIS IS A DUEL SHAFT MOTOR , BACK COIL NEEDS TO BE PULLED AWAY FROM MOUNT WITHOUT BENDING COPPER. MOTOR BOLTS 3 OF THEM HAVE TO BE REMOVED AND WHEN BOTH BLOWERS ARE REMOVED AND WIRES REMOVED THEN IT CAN BE REMOVED . THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE NEW MOTOR IF IT IS NOT FROM DUO THERM YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT SHAFT TO RIGHT SIZE AND WIRES MAY NOT BE SAME COLOR. IF IT IS SAME MOTOR FROM DUO THERM YOU CAN CUT WIRES AT OLD MOTOR AND WIRE NUT THEM COLOR BY COLOR.

I currently have the same problem. It's happened before and it was the circuit board on the right inside of the heater. Tired of that board going out ($) several times, so this time I'm going to remove the board and look at it myself for any common problems such as broken or bad solder joints (vibrations). I use a magnifying glass to do this because some cracks can be very small and invisible to the unaided eye. I don't know if your'e up to this but it's worth a try if you've looked at other things such as no gas, valve not open, etc. (and, of course, need to save money such as I do).
