THE RADIO RECIEVER IS DEFECTIVE, THE COST OF HAVING IT REPAIRED IS MORE THAN A NEW UNIT COSTS, THE BEST THING TO DO HERE IS JUST REPLACE IT

Its possible that the internal FM modulatoris failed or antennas cable loss or dirty.

Have you listened to your transmission on another FM receiver? That
would confirm any lack of modulation and yes fm is a steady carrier, you
would not see any power changes when the carrier is modulated.

    Typically
when you can get am reception and can't get fm reception the problem is
not the antenna but is in fact in the fm tuner- many times it turns out
to be bad solder joints in the tuner itself
    .

    If
you installed an aftermarket antenna you may have to splice two wires
to make full connection, email customersupport@discountautoantennas.com
and explain and they may be able to email you instructions for a
solution you may not have it grounded properly.

Kenwood RV7030 audio-video stereo has static without antenna

OK I am going to suggest two aerials for you. I would also NOT use the old cable as it will cause a lot of problems. It is best to replace it with the stuff they use for satellite dishes (see image).
The FM aerial will pick up signals from all sides. The TV aerial should give high quality signals and output for at least 5 sets.

I have a Kenwood KR-A4010 Am/Fm Stereo Receiver. Every five seconds the sound fades in and out. Can anyone find a solution to this problem?

Something in the unit is smoked and potentially dangerous. Get that puppy down to a repair shop. Don't leave it unattended if you turn it on. Got a fire extinguisher handy?
