3 different p.s.i caps for 3 different types of radiators,typically radiator are classed in core depth (how many row,s of tubes are visible in the top tank) normally system pressure is about 12 p.s.i for a 3 core radiator cap (automobile) if cap is constantly leaking coolant,inspect the seal inside cap,if seal is undamaged pressure spring has lost its trntion dispose of cap in appropriate manner...

87 ranger 2.9 when turning over it wont fire there is spark goin to spark plugs but intead of blue spark its yellow an there is a clicking sound comin fro Distributor cap or its in that general area


Now you in my specialty. Take the distributor cap off, look to see if ther is a white corbon build up on the prongs sticking down inside the cap.If son, take a small screw driver and scrape it off. Check the black carbon button sticking down inside the cap, make sure when you push on it, it has some spring to it, When you push it in, it should pop right back out. Now scrape the end of the rotery button, carbon build up there also.Make sure the cap is clean on the inside before reinstalling it. I had some one prank me once by taking a pencil and drawing a line down the in side of the cap, shorting it out so my car wouldnt start. Bad prank. Now once the cap is back on, check that the wires are all tightly fitted down into the top. Make sure they are in the same order they came off, If your unsure, get out you Haines manual and it will tell you the firing order that they go in.Most Ford caps will have a 1 stamped in the cap for the number one plug. Check the coil wire to see if it is cut, if not make sure it is seated into the cap like the plug wires. Be absolutely sure the cap is not cracked down the side when you install it by pulling out on it while it is upside down, If it is cracked it will open up or break apart. Also check the plugwire are on the plug securely. I hope these suggestions help you find you problem.

Ignite button will not press down


Since you have battery operated, electronic ignition, the AAA Battery inside the push button ignitor may have gotten lodged in the return spring, inside the battery holder. Remove the Ignitor Cap and remove the battery. Actually, if the batter is lodged in the spring, when you remove the cap, the battery will probably be stuck in it. Also, depending on how old the battery is, it may have leaked inside the holder and corroded the spring and the contacts. If so, try cleaning (removing the corrosion with a Q-Tip Soaked in vinegar. Once it's all removed, a light coating of WD40 will help prevent further corrosion..

I have a 96 Nissan 200SXE 1.6 liter eng. I recently replaced my distributor cap. I coiled spring fell out of the bottom of the distributor from a hole that holds a leg on the inside of the distr. cap...


You are not going to find individual parts for that distributor. The dealer is not going to have them either. The distributor is serviced only as a complete assembly, less the cap and rotor. You can try a salvage yard for a used distributor and put your new cap and rotor on it, or you can buy a "remanufactured" one from the local parts house. I doubt if the dealer would even have a new distributor for a '96. They may be able to order a remanufactured one...which is probably "remanufactured" by the same people that do the ones at the local retail parts store.

its simply called a power steering resivoir cap,you should be able to pick one up at any parts store or have them order it in for you.hope this helps

Hi , can i change fork springs with out full disasembly


Remove the fork cap from the piston rod (see photo below). You’ll need a 17mm wrench to hold the lock nut under the cap. Then pull the spring out the sleeve you may need long nose liers to grab the spring inside buddy 66ba2c4.jpg

Lost roller on Savvy


need more info spring and washer don't tell me anything.do you have all the parts.i think your talking about the spring washer that keeps the brush roller from locking up.if thats what your talking about remove the bearing cap off the end of the roller brush.lay it inside the roller concave ppart of the washer down put the cap back on.if both washers came out of thesame side put the spring washer in first then the flat washer
