SOURCE: Natural Gas wall heater

It could be either the thermostat or thermocouple is not getting correct voltage so will intermittent turn on and off.

All gas heaters can be converted from one type of gas to another, be it natural or propane. The problem is getting the orifice retrofit parts that fit that particular brand. If the manufacturer doesn't make them, then you are left with no choice.

SOURCE: dynaglow parts

RobinRents.com carries Dynaglo parts. I'm not sure if they have all Dynaglo parts, though. Give them a call. Maybe they can help. Those foreign made heaters are hard to get parts for, compared to Desa, anyway.

You need to first get a regulator which will go between the propane tank and the burner. You will need to know the burner capacity in BTU/HR and the pressure required. All of this can be found on the furnace specification plate or on the gas valve. It is a no brainer Circut!

SOURCE: natural gas heater

I'm not a gas expert, however if I could offer an alternative possibility: I recently opened a gas heater to find a child (I assume) had inserted a CD and a pen into it. If the soot is more than a short term problem this is obviously not the cause but it may help some people.

It comes from the factor ready to use PROPANE, if you are using natural gas, then it needs to be re-jetted or orifices changed for the proper gas.

Natural Gas wall heater

It sounds like the thermocoupler is either not adjusted into the flame properly, or you may have gotten a bad one. The thermocouple is the main thing that makes the pilot work.
