How do I wire my Piaf 130 sowing machine

it is 'sewing' unless you are going to use it to broadcast seeds, and it might be a Pfaff? :)

Ho do you mean 'wire it'? There is a wire that goes from the wall to the foot pedal, and a wire that goes from the foot pedal to the rear or the machine or to the motor itself. I have contacts for all the foot pedals.

Repairing a Singer Sewing machine presser foot lifter.

Inside the foot the wires are connected to two different screws. They are obviously coming loose by being pulled.
1. Open the foot on the bottom.
2. Look where the screws are. You need to have the wires connected there.
3. Before connecting to screws: tie a knot in the wire from the inside of the foot pedal where the wire protrudes through the hole.
4. Now, tightly connect the wire to each screw. Apply bottom of bracket. Now, sew!!!!!!!!!!

How can I unplug the cord of the foot pedal without breaking it?

In my experience they all come with the cord attached to the foot pedal and you plug one wire into the mains outlet and the other lead into the sewing machine. You should be swapping like for like, so if your has a hard wired lead, then the replacement should too.

If you unscrew the screws on the foot pedal, you should be able to see if it is hard wired or the wire is in a socket. If it won't come out, it is possible it has got hot and melted the plastic to lock it in place.

Won't turn off

this sounds dangerous! I would guess that the wires in the foot pedal are not disengaging .You may try to open it and see if it looks like a simple broken wire making a mis-connection.The easier thing may be to order a new foot pedal. If it still does this when the pedal is not plugged in,then the problem is with the machine not in the pedal.

Tension problem on Brother 1500S. Thread wants to break often, cannot get correct tension for quilting. What do you recommend? Very frustrating to have to stop every couple of minutes to...

Sometimes it is just a matter of totally rethreading with different thread, I was shocked when some thread that I had bought and it turned out that it was old stock (no wonder it was on sale). Another thing to try is when you rethread with the presser foot up, try this test, pull your thread, it should move smoothly, now lower the presser foot, pull the thread, it should barely move. This should seat your thread in the tension discs. Another thing to do is put in a new needle before you do your rethreading and take off your throat plate, and see it there is a burr inside the needle hole, if so take some emery cloth or light sand paper with a toothpick and go around that hole. While you have the throat plate off, take an old toothbrush and clean out all around your feed dogs. You will probably find something that looks like felt there, and it shouldn't be there. Depending on my machine (I have 5), I set my tension on 3 and some need the 4 setting, I teach disabled teens how to sew and run into alot of different easy to fix problems in my 50+ years of sewing, These are all little tricks you learn. Good luck and have a great day,

My foot pedal started making noises as if it shorting out inside. can I fix it or get a new one? (model 537L) I've looked online to buy a nother pedal & can;t find the same model. I've seen similar...

The suppressor inside the control might be on the way out, if you can undo the foot control take it out and discard it because you don't need it these days, you can buy a new control which does not have to be a Necchi, a YDK foot control is just as good, if you have a lead that plugs into the foot control all you have to do is cut the plug off the end and wire the new control in, there are only two wires and it is very simple.

How can i make the machine sew slower

The foot pedal is usually a controller. The harder you press it, the faster it will sew. Try just barely pressing on it. There is a reostat in the ciruit. It should go slower if you press the pedal lightly.
