That blue switch is in place to make sure that the back of the TV is closed properly. It prevents the TV from being turned on when the back is removed. It would not be keeping the TV from turning off. Replacing that switch would not solve your problem.

Lost controller. how to use or by pass on off swith

Solder a jumper wire across the back of the switch, this will bypass the switch and the speakers will always be turned on. Turn off the speakers by unplugging the power cord, or with the switch on the surge protector that I hope you have.

2003 nissan altima took window down and would not go back up.30min.latter it forgot about it and it did it the switch bad?how can i get the window up for now without the switch?

This may be the switch ,but most times its a motor, try to hold the swith in the up postion and bang on inside of door toward the midlle and bottom while holding switch, ig that doesnt work try to push swith for window to go up useing a little force and wiggle.the best way to find the problem would be to test motor for power and ground while operating the switch.

Canon G3 camera just stopped working completely

Do you have a way to test the battery and you know it's ok?

Those batteries have built-in protection circuitry that can cut out or turn off the battery entirely if it detected a problem like a short circuit, etc. And it may not get over it.

Try a 2nd battery or the AC power adapter directly.

Also check that the 3 little pins in the camera DC input jack are intact, straight, and not touching each other.

Some camera's won't turn on if the memory card door is open or the card is ejected but I tested that on my G3 and it still turns on either way.

Ah.... and lastly... there is a little electrical limit switch connected to the battery cover door that disables the camera if the battery door is open. It gets pressed by a small plastic piece attached to the battery cover when you close the battery door. If the plastic piece or the tiny, recessed switch has an issue then the camera won't turn on The switch could be bypassed internally (not easy to do) if that was the problem.

Look for a tiny, thin, black plastic switch about as thin as a staple down in a recessed hole (slot) near the battery cover hinge. Try gentle pushing the battery closed switch "over" a little. You can tell which way to push by observing how the battery door slides into position as you close it. I was able to turn on my camera with the door open by doing this.
The switch is very tiny, don't break it.

If the battery door isn't closing all the way that would also cause the same issue.

The doors are all shut, but the dome light is not going off. indicator light showing door(s) open will not go off.

Most likely a faulty door jam switch. either this will be a little button near the door hinges, or can be attached to the door latch mechanism. the latter is a little more difficult to test because it can involve pulling the door panel apart. Try to find each switch and disconnect it from the circuit if possible to see if the light goes out. or try pulling out the switches and checking them to see if they are functioning properly with a continuity check on a multimeter. if all switches check out fine, the next steps are a little more advanced. Check the wiring from the switches for shorts between the wires that could be bypassing the switch all together giving it constant power. and the last, in rare cases it can be caused by a faulty body control module or similar electrical systems computer.

My oven turns on but won't heat up to the temperature i set it at. that last time i had it repaired the repairman simply reset the oven. how do i do that?

I had the same problem after auto-cleaning my oven just before Thanksgiving. The cause was overheating...and the tripping of a heat sensor switch.

The switch (reset button) is located about 3 inches behind the door locking mechanism.

Removing the front panel (4 screws) that the door lock sticks through exposes the switch. Just push the little red button & your are back in business!

The fuel pump has been changed, however it does not pump fuel. A by-pass swith was installed and it works. What makes this happen. Could it be the ignition switch causing the problem. When the by-pass...

Chances are the fuel pump relay has died, and the bypass switch is turning it on in the absence of the relay. Replace your fuel pump relay and you should be able to get rid of the bypass switch.
