Most likely the front drum bearing part number 5303937139 needs to be replaced. Instructions come with the kit.

Frigidaire Gallery dryer Model FSG447GHSO. Clothes and dryer sheets get caught between the drum and one of the three "bumps" inside the drum, causing burn marks on clothing. I can see the gap where it

There is a gasket that fits around the back side of the tumbler. Sounds like it needs replacing. It's job is to keep clothes inside the tumbler.

Why is my clothes dryer leaving brown marks on my clothes

Probably you need to replace the front drum bearing. The gap between the front lip of the drum, and the bearing, is too large, allowing the clothes to get caught in there and get dirty. Hope this helps you.

Maytag dryer is leaving black marks or rings on clothes

If your clothes get marked or torn in your dryer, check these: Rollers Rear seal Front glides Front seal Rollers Your dryer may use rollers, or wheels, to support the rear of the clothes drum. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rollers wear out, you need to replace the whole set. Rear seal Your dryer may have a felt-like seal at the rear of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, clothes can get caught and torn in the space between the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rear seal wears out, you need to replace it. Front glides Your dryer probably uses nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. My crosley dryer is making a terrible scraping noise. I lifted the top of the cover off and could see the drum. There are several scrape marks in a few spots. Obviously it is rubbing on the bottom. What is...

The first thing to check is whether there is something caught in the drum rim (both front and back). Feel around the circumference of the drum in both places for a piece of clothing or pocket item jammed in there. If all is clear, then most dryers have drum glides on the front that will wear. Those aren't expensive and not that hard to replace for the mechanically inclined. A bad rear support roller is also a possibility. To replace it , the drum will probably have to be removed. Drums aren't that hard to get in and out, depending again on your mechanical ability. Hope that helps

it sounds like your roller bearings are bad you need to get the top open then take the front off loosen the belt take out the tumbler try to squirt oil on the shaft the rollers are on there should be two of them, put it back together and try it,if that doesn't work replace them.

My clothes are getting caught in my dryer.

I am having this same problem with my GE dryer. I found a post on fixitnow.com from a guy that has repaired these for years. He says it is the rear drum bearing. Looks like a pretty easy fix, I am going to try to do it myself. If you try this, I have also read that you should spend the extra $10 to go ahead and replace the drums front felt glide kit.

Moffat heavey Duty Dryer

Hi and thank you for your request.
Assuming the marks were not there before you put them in the dryer, then there are a couple of possibilities for the marks appearing.
Check that none of the clothes lifters or ribs as they are sometimes called in the drum are not loose, as the clothes could get caught in any gaps, make sure that there is no large gap between the drum front and the front of the dryer, as again clothes could get caught here,,check to see nothing is stuck on the drum itself that could transfer onto the clothes.
Make sure the drum is free to turn and that there is no unusual noise coming from it, if it does appear to be noisier than usual ,then it could be the drum rollers or bearings are starting to wear and this could transfer grease and the like onto your clothes.
Hope these suggestions help with your prob.
Plz feel free to leave any comments and rate my suggestions.
Thanks

bad rollers could be making black dust but the real problem is the tumblers seals letting the roller dust get into the tumblers and on to you clothes.

Black or brown makers are from the faulty or damaged tumblers seals you have one in the frount and one back...

I can help you strp by step if you want to do it yourself.
