What is a PUK?

A PUK code is the code that unblocks a blocked SIM card.
It's provided by your service provider.

From Wikipedia:
Most mobile telephones offer the feature of personal identification number(PIN) protection. After switching on the phone, if the PIN security function isactive, the user is requested to enter a 4-8 digit PIN enabling the phone'snon-emergency calling functions. If the wrong PIN is typed in more than threetimes, either the SIM card, the device or both become locked. They can bereverted to their original unlocked state by entering a PUC (PUK), provided bythe service operator through verification. If the wrong PUC (PUK) is enteredten times in a row, the device will become permanently blocked andunrecoverable, requiring a new SIM card. Cellular phone users are thereforeadvised by most providers to keep their PUC (PUK) written down in a safe placeseparate from the device. The PUC (PUK) is a SIM-specific code assigned by the service provider. It isnear-impossible to guess and enter it; thus, if you do not know your PUC (PUK)and are prompted for it, you should get it from your service provider.

What is a PUK and how do I get my phone unblocked?

A PIN Unlock Key (PUK), also known as a Personal Unblocking Code (PUC) is used to reset a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that has been forgotten or lost. Most mobile telephones offer the feature of PIN protection. After switching on the phone, if the PIN security function is active, the user is requested to enter a 4-8 digit PIN enabling the phone's non-emergency calling functions. If the wrong PIN is typed in more than three times, either the SIM card, the device, or both become locked. They can be returned to their original unlocked state by entering a PUK, provided by the service operator after verification. If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, the device will become permanently blocked and unrecoverable, requiring a new SIM card. Cellular phone users are therefore advised by most providers to keep their PUK written down in a safe place separate from the device. The PUK (PUC) is a SIM-specific code assigned by the service provider. It is near-impossible to guess and enter it; thus, if a user does not know his or her PUK and is prompted for it, it should be obtained from the service provider. Once you enter the PUK code, you must set a PIN. The PUK and PUK2 are used to unlock the PIN and PIN2 codes respectively if your SIM card is blocked.

My. Brothet mistakenly press my phone and now it lock, pls help mi 08065445619 I need my puk number pls

A request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times incorrectly.

Your SIM card will then become "PUKed" or Blocked. This is a security measure to protect your service.

You need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM card.

Lost sim pin

If you have lost the PIN code, the only choice is entering the PIN three times so to trigger the PUK code request.

Once you get the PUK code request, the PUK code can be obtained contacting the company that released the SIM.

The only other alternative to find back a lost PIN is going to a Phone shop. They will do same things as above.

Regards.

MY PHONE IS BLOCKED

Hi
sorry but sim is permantly blocked now. If sim pin is entered incorrectly 3 times the phone will request a PUK code. If you continue to enter pin incorrectly 10 more times the sim will block permantly. Hence PUK blocked. The best thing to do now will be too contact your service provider to see if they can replace your sim? Hope that helps?

My sim was blocked cos of a wrong pin code

You will ned to contact your mobile provider for a PUK code. A PUK code is SIM specific. Nothing will be erased from your phone. IF you imput a code too many times incorrectly, it'll lock your phone completely. Then, you would need to contact NOKIA Call the Nokia Care Contact Center:
Telephone: 1-888-NOKIA-2U (1-888-665-4228)
TTY/TDD: 1-800-24-NOKIA (1-800-246-6542)
To get the phone FLASHED, which will ERASAE everything.
Please be careful! Good luck!
