Question about Carrier 38CKC036 Air Conditioner

1 Answer

Carrier 38CKC060370 Trouble Shooting Issue: My wife said she heard a big boom in the attic area, and that something knocked out the power up stairs. I replaced a bad breaker in the garage that was feeding the attic lights, but not associated with the furnace or anything else having to do with the Central Air System that I can tell ? Nevertheless, I have verified the the outside condenser and inside units are all receiving power. However, the A/C has not come on since restoring power ? Any ideas as to what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated !

Need attic insulation for ladder area

Buy some styrofoam panels at the hardware store. They're usually 2"x2'X4" and they only cost a few dollars. Also get a small tube of construction adhesive. Stick them to the top side. Styrofoam if one of the best insulators you can but. I have it on the inside, of my metal basement door. In the winter, when the temperature drops to 10 °, my cellarway maintains about 65°.
!/16" thick styrofoam protesct your hand from 170° coffee.

System Malfunction, No communication with outside unit

I work on Carrier Infiity systems. The outside board has a Model plug on it. This tells the system what size unit it is. They do go bad. You can reset your self by turning the power off to the Air Handler. These system have 10 year warranty and if you still have a problem have the replace the outside control board and model plug. Also you can contact Carrier on the their website and get answers. You may need to talk to a service rep in your area. Carrier is good about their Tech support. You should have to pay for a service call if you your problem continues. Sometimes power surges or stoem cause these problems but not often Rusty

Trouble shooting

After you reach the mid-level point, you will come to an area with two rows of bricks. You must be big, but not mega-sized to perform this trick. Knock out the middle brick on the top row, then knock out the third brick in the bottom row. This will cause a vine to grow. Climb the vine and make your way to the end of the level above to reach the red flag secret exit.
