Hi

This error code appear due to Fuser issue. To avoid any hazards, be sure to unplug the power cord before proceeding to check the following--

* Be sure that the fuser unit is set in place securely.

1. Check if any thermistor connector is disconnected.

2. Check if any harness of the thermistors (center/rear, upper/lower) is open-circuited.

3. Check the LGC board if the connector J122 is disconnected.

4. After completing the repair of what caused the [C7] problem, proceed to rewrite the status
counter (08-700) to "0". Follow the below method to reset the error code--

After completing the repair of what caused the error, proceed to do the following:

(1) While pressing [0] and [8] simultaneously, turn ON the power.

(2) Enter [700] with digital keys, then press the [START] key.

(3) Rewrite the status counter to "0", then press the [SET] or [INTERRUPT] key.

The status counter is dispalyed as follows:

[C41]: "1" or "2" [C42]: "6" [C43]: "4" [C44]: "5"

[C46]: "7" [C47]: "8" [C48]: "9"

(4) Turn OFF the power and then back it ON again, and make sure that the copier gets ready
normally.

Hope this helps...

Completly free copy of windows 7 boot disc

If it tries to boot up, Borrow a Repair disk or Operating System Disc from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker.

Run the Check Disk Utility.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or a operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from it. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white letters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice the percentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run to completion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows. Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair when the options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recovery console and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

How can I get into the BIOS to change boot sequence when I don't have the password

Remove the power cord, remove the battery and then remove the CMOS Battery which is normally attached to the motherboard. Most times you will have to disassemble the laptop to get to the cmos battery. Once you remove it let the computer sit for an hour or so and it will forget the date, time and passwords without that cmos battery being in. Put the battery back in after time elapses then see what happens.

Is it possible to install windows xp 2 when there is already windows 7 is installed.i want to install both os running in my dell vostro 1015 laptop,

Yes you will have to format your drive and remove partitions, then create new partitions and add a boot up option menu. Then when you power on your computer it will ask if you want to boot Windows 7, or Windows XP. You will have to have both copies of Windows also your restore partition can't do this.

I can`t install windows 7 the DVD not boot i copy the files to the hd but don`t boot what can i do to install win7

If you have downloaded a copy of Win 7, it will probably be an image file (ISO).
You burn the disc as an image, use free Imgburn.
This will now be bootable.
You will need to enable booting from cd/dvd first in the bios ( boot order)

Need to replace drum and developer maintainance

If you are getting that message and the prints and copys still look good , just do this.
Press # * C * and that will put the machine into diagnostics.
Enter the number 24 and press start, That will get you into maintenance resets. Then enter 06 , press start, then while still in 24, press 7 and it will reset the developer. But 24-06 and 24-07 should clear the count and return the machine to normal. The developer and drum will normally run longer than indicated by the counter.

Cant install windows 7? i put the cd in and go to auto boot but it gives me a code 5 error.

To resolve Windows 7 Error Code 5, all you need to do is start the installer through a different installer. Either find an old Windows XP boot disk and then direct it over to the Windows 7 installation DVD and run Setup.exe. This should kick off the installer normally and allow you to install the operating system.

Hi again mate

The files are not available for download, no. However, even pirate copies (which I don't normally support ;o)) will have these files on them (either in the ISO or on the CD - whichever you used). NTbootdd.sys is a machine specific file, and is a copy of your drives device driver, so downloading it would do no good. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305595
