I HAVE PANASOIC PROJECTION TV PT-5OLC13 WHEN YOU TURN IT ON IT COMES ON FOR 2 MINUTES AND GOES OFF CAN ANY BODY HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM?

If you have not replaced the lamp in this television at any time, it is probably in need of replacement. Lamp # is TY-LA1000. I buy lamps on e-bay from a company called niosales, excellent quality and free shipping. There are also three fans in your television, if the small fan near the DMD module fails the tv will not start ofr stay on. I really believe the lamp is your trouble though.

You should have received a message on the screen about replacing the lamp. Also, the LAMP led on the front should be lit in red.
You can replace the lamp assembly easily for about $150 - $250.
Don't try to replace the bulb only.
A new Panasonic Plasma TV will cost about $1000 and good for another 5 to 6 years.

Panasonic PT-61LCX65 61" Television Set Popped, Now Left with a Cicking Sound

Your problem more than likely lies in your lamp. The whirring noise you hear is the ballast trying to fire up the bad lamp. The lamp part # for your set is TY-LA1000 and can be purchased online at vance baldwin. This is something you can easily replace yourself and your owners manual will give you instructions. Hope this helps

Panasonic PT-50LC13 Television Lamp Replacement

not really, just be careful about getting finger prints on the lamp as the oils from your fingers will shorten the lifespan of the lamp.
