Hi Lanasue,
Are you running any downloads like torrent, if so do you have any port forwarding set up?
Because if you don't you might experience similar issue like what you described.

Netgear fs750t2 will it take compatable transceivers

Make sure the one end of the cable goes to Eth/PoE in the transrec and the other end to the DSL port available. But if you going to monitor your network instead using the DSL WebUI then you can connect the transrec directly in to the DSL cable.

I have installed dlink 1016 10/100 Switch I have two computers and one dsl router connected to this switch but i am facing slow internet problem. when i connect my pc directly with router it works fine...

you'll probably find the router is set up to ignore ping requests, most are by default, for better results, try pinging a website and compare the results both with and without the switch. The switch shouldn't make any noticable difference to your connections, I use one and there's not perceivable difference in performance.

I just purchased a Netgear GS105 10/100/1000 Gigabit switch and I can get only one device at a time to connect to the internet. I have tried manually entering ip settings to no avail.

A switch will basically act as a repeater. You still need something on the network, connected to the switch, which is used to distribute ip addresses to other computers on the network. Or you can manually set the ip addresses on each system. Reply back to me if you need more detailed instructions. I would need to know what type of internet connection you have. (i.e. DSL, Comcast, U-Verse)

Linksys routetr problem

HI,
The problem can be caused, because of two reasons, one the router profile on the computer has got corrupted and second the router itself. Have you tried resetting the router to factory defaults.. Caution: all wireless security settings and user name and passwords would go back to factory defaults.

1.Disconnect all cable from the back of the router.
2. Shut down your computer and the DSL box
3.Press the reset button, using a paper clip at the back of the router.Keep it pressed for 5 seconds
4. Disconnect the power cord to the router
5. Switch on the Dsl box, wait for the lights to stablize
6. Reconnect the interenet cable and the power cable to the router and power it on.
7 Let the lights stabalise on the router and power on the computer.

Check if that resolves the problem, if not we might need to update the router.

Thanks
Proton

Network Hub or Router - World of Warcraft - NH1005 Linksys

I recommend purchasing a small switch because what it sounds like is that the traffic being generated from and to the two computers and then out to the Internet is killing your hub. A switch would help reduce some of the traffic.
