Question about Haier hwr10xc6 Air Conditioner

Error code I am getting an E1 error code and don't know what it means? Any help would be appreciated. I get the E1 error code in the temp display as soon as plug in my model HWR 10XC6, 10,000 btu window A/C unit. I tried the reset button but that was of no help.

I am having the same problem. I just picked up my Hair portable ac yesterday and when I plugged it in the very first time it was not working. The display screen just reads E1. I pushed every button on the thing and the remote nothing happens. I unplug it and plug it back it it just beeps a couple of times and still nothing. I am very unhappy about this product issue...I ordered it from wal mart website and was shipped to the sotre, so after waiting a few weeks for it to be shipped and having to drive to the store to pick it up and drag it home and having to struggle to get t in the house and unpacked and hooking it up and cleaning the mess the stupid thing is not working now I am going to have to waste more gas and more time to return the stupid thing. I would not recomend or purchase another Haier America product again.

E1 error code displays when unit is plugged in I have a wall unit with about 10,000 BTU capacity. Two days ago, it quit working and displayed the E1 error code. I unplugged the unit, let it sit for 10...

highly annoying issue error code E1. After hours
of fan operation, the error code E1 will appear on the seven segment
LED temperature display. This error code is intended as a reminder for
the user to clean the air filter. However, because the procedure
outlined in the user manual does not clear this error code as
indicated, and the appliance has a nonvolatile memory that cannot be
reset by simply unplugging it, the user of the appliance will become
mightily frustrated, standing in potentially sweltering heat watching
the appliance repeatedly shut down in the midst of operation with the
"E1" display flashing.

Believe it or not, that is what it does: if you unplug it to remove the
"E1" code from the display, and plug it back in and re-start it, it
will simply run for anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, and
then merrily shut down again with the same flashing "E1" code.

So you will come home to a hot bedroom, living room, etc. unexpectedly,
and you will NOT be amused, as I was not.

Many people at this point, having put the manual under the canary or
some such, will simply return the unit and never buy another Sharp air
conditioner. But for the tech-savvy and search-adept, I offer the
following procedure to clear the nefarious E1 indication, and obtain

1. Power down the air conditioner using the "power" button on the front
panel.
2. Unplug the air conditioner from the wall socket.
3. Hold the front panel "power" button down and plug the air
conditioner in. Continue to hold the power button down as the machine
goes through a brief test sequence (fan & compressor each come on
briefly, etc). There is a "beep" sound at the end of the test sequence,
and the machine will be off. At this point, you can release the power
button.
4. Unplug the air conditioner.
5. Plug the air conditioner back in.
6. Congratulations! You should now be able to operate the air
conditioner normally for another 720 hours, but only if you followed
the instructions above EXACTLY.

The E1 code is an error code that appears on the LED temperature display of some digital air conditioners. The error code could mean anything from dirty air filters to a damaged room thermistor, a safety connected to your thermostat that detects room temperature. Troubleshooting the cause of this error code may improve your air conditioner's performance

Dometic model 3313192 thermostat error code E1 what does this mean?

Hi By E1 error it means
Loss of communication between the Single Zone LCD thermostat and the module board. LCD will cycle between E1 error.

Check the link for regular maintenance Of the LCD thermostat.
If it doesn't help then you have to replace the LCD thermostat.

I did install all correctly, but i turn it on and like 3-4 min it turns off and indicates an E1 on the display!! Whats wrong?

To help you. I will need to know what Brand your AC unit is and the Correct Model Number. The E1 error code doesn't mean the same thing on all brands and models.
