Question about Philips Televison & Video
Re:"We are a little concerned that every now and again there is the sound of a spark as if something were short circuiting. The picture and sound is momentarily lost but just as quickly restored."
The TV is almost surely defective, and symptoms could be those of a PSU starting to fail, or of a defective main controller.
The TV is covered by one year factory warranty. Unless you purchased your TV second hand, you should be able to get the TV fixed under limited warranty terms.
Before contacting Philips I suggest testing the TV on a different wall socket. If you are using power surge protector or power cord adapter (eg. from UK to EU), also replace adapter.
As said, unless purchased second hand, the product is covered by 12 (or 24) months international warranty. You should be able to have the repair service carried by Philips.
